The old guys can rock so much better and with more soul than the young guys. Real instruments too.
Does anyone under 50 even play the blues anymore?
That song has been covered by so many blues greats including the mule, A. King, my fave, Joe B. I looked up the original released in 1971, Ann Peebles. wow.
Dr. Tar – Does anyone under 50 have enough life experience to play the blues?
@Dr. Tar: Yep, there’s young blues players out here. These4 guys were in Sacto last week giving a concert.

I never heard the group BluesJunky – I like them! Been a blues fan all my life. I was lucky to see Etta James, John Lee Hooker and BB King in my lifetime.
I married a blues loving man. On the night we were married, at the Kissimmee Court House, me in my Howard Johnson orange polyester uniform and Greg in his clean Levi’s, B B Ki g played at the Beauchamp Theater in Orlando. We went.
I penciled a note on a matchbook:
Dear Mr BB Sir, We got married today and would be thrilled with a song. Thanks.
He spoke out to “Greg and Tina” and as I stood to acknowledge him he dedicated “Don’t Look Back” to us. Perfect song for a mid twenties couple who carried more baggage than most. We had Jesus though, and made it through till my blues lover made it home. In His sleep. Fybromyalgia pain and fighting his love of the drink he had asked God to take him while asleep. Which He did around a week later. Heart attack.
I still love B.B. all these years later. And I’m pretty sure my Gregger sought him out when he arrived a few years back. And if there’s a guitar or two in Paradise they might just be playing together if there are blues there.
That video was a joy to me though, some excellent blues there as well.
Claptoneske.
Now that’s a Gov’ I can support!

Thanks, MJA!
And GoldenFox, thanks for the chuckle! Gov’t Mule is the band’s name…I’m just the messenger!
Tina B. I wore those orange poly uniforms too. In NH & ME.
Made good money.
Bullshit hippie crap. Destroy with fire.
How you people lived this long listening to such crap is beyond me.
That was great. Thanks!
