Feminist Head of Women’s History Museum Accused of Covering Up Sexual Harassment

FrontPage:

It never fails.

I’ve pointed out that Kamala Harris had a history of covering up sexual harassment. So did a number of other top Democrat feminists. Like most forms of leftism, identity politics offers the power to commit the abuses it claims to fight. Why should the Smithsonian’s American Women’s History Museum be any different?

Nancy Yao has been named the founding director of the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum, effective June 5.

“I am humbled and elated to join the Smithsonian as the founding director of the American Women’s History Museum,” Yao said. “Creating voice for the stories of American women will take intentional conversations, creative inputs and energetic curation.”

Also allegedly covering up sexual harassment by firing the accusers.

In the year and a half before Yao’s selection, the history and culture institution where she served as president — the Museum of Chinese in America, commonly known as MOCA — has settled three wrongful termination lawsuits stemming from alleged incidents during her tenure.

The lawsuits were filed by former employees who said they were fired in retaliation for reporting alleged sexual harassment on behalf of young female staffers at the museum. The two men who were accused internally of harassment kept their jobs; one was later promoted by Yao…

Accusations aren’t proof, but a pattern of accusations does strongly indicate either a coordinated effort or that something was going on there.

And so does lying about it. MORE

  1. It is my experience that liberal women in positions of authority at non-profits impress me as rarely, if ever, having rose there organically, but were vetted and groomed to occupy the position by the powers that be in the progressive establishment and as such are 100% down with the progressive agenda and that includes predatory behavior.

  2. 100% of our crime, sex, and other problems are because special ‘grievance classes’ are created, and people in those classes get special treatment including coverup of terrible crimes. This is global. Blacks shooting whites is pushed under the rug, while whites shooting blacks is sensationalized. Same with rape, pedo, ‘hate crimes’, all of it. If we could address every act in a nonpartisan way we would deal with the problems. But when, as an example, black-on-black crime is the major problem but only white on black crime is discussed – and incorrectly at that – solutions can’t be made for the actual problem.
Of course I’m speaking to the choir, we all know this.

  3. “The lawsuits were filed by former employees who said they were FIRED IN RETALIATION FOR REPORTING alleged sexual harassment ON BEHALF of young female staffers at the museum.” That’s the part that bothers me, it’s anecdotal evidence.
