WaEX: The debate performance by Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, the Democratic candidate for Senate, was “much worse” than expected, according to a journalist who said she recently spoke with him.
Charlotte Alter, a senior correspondent for TIME, sent a now-viral tweet critiquing Fetterman after he faced off against Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz, using closed captioning to help him understand questions as he is still recovering from a stroke in May and questions swirl about his overall health. He struggled at times, with awkward pauses and stumbles over his words.
“I spoke to Fetterman recently, and I expected him to be very bad tonight. But he was much much worse than I expected (and much worse than in our one-on-one conversation.),” Alter said Tuesday night.
Earlier, the journalist posted a thread tamping down expectations for Fetterman’s performance, noting that he was never a “masterful orator” like former President Barack Obama or Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and insisting that the Democrat’s “strength has always been in his ability to talk like a normal person” versus Oz, a longtime TV celebrity. more

I thought he was very convincing. Fetterman unfettered was a sight to behold. If this human wreckage gets into the United States Senate, it will be conclusive proof that the American Republic has become a failed Democracy. Throw enough money into a political race, hide away in a basement, and turn out the low information, functionally illiterate slum dwellers and practically anyone can get elected these days with a little help from the ballot stuffers.

Things have to be pretty bad if a TIME correspondent has to go against her orders and admit Fetterman’s got a serious problem. The CCP is not going to be happy with her.

…I had to take a pre-employment physical for EVERY FREAKING JOB I’VE EVER HAD ABOVE THE RANK OF DUSHWASHER, and NONE of them would have hired me had I refused to disclose the results.
Mrs. Fetterman’s husband is coming to the people of PA for a job.
Seems to me he needs to submit the results of his OWN pre-employment physical to receive any further consideration.

Yet, the FOX “News” affiliate is still running cover for this guy in the top of the hour news this morning on one of the two Seattle Republican establishment radio channels.
Fetterman is the perfect candidate for the people who will vote for him: just smart enough to do what he’s told, but not smart enough to ask why.
