Adam Carolla vs. Gavin Newsom Full Interview – 2013

Revisit the mega-viral 2013 episode of The Adam Carolla Show, where then Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom sat down with Adam for a no-holds-barred conversation on California’s biggest problem – homelessness, traffic gridlock, wasted energy, and more. Gavin laid out what he claimed were his plans to fix the state’s mounting issues, but more than a decade later, did he deliver on those promises? Has California turned a corner, or has it spiraled even further downhill on every front?

  1. I don’t get Newscum at all. He talks like a stoned valley boy and that hand thing he does looks like a form of tardive dyskinesia; taking antipsychotic (neuroleptic) medications is the main cause of this condition. Not saying he’s got it but it sure seems involuntary to me. And on top of his obvious intelligence deficit, it’s plain he is totally out of his depth at governing a state as economically important as CA. He should have started small, something like N. Dakota, or maybe one of the territories. Sorry, N. Dakota, I wouldn’t wish him on you, either.

As for Carolla: he lost me a while ago with his squishy views on a lot of conservative policy issues. He seems more comfortable with his Malibu friends and stays away from losing his audience by having strong national opinions. It seems, anyway.

The only way to run the Newscums and his kind out of CA would be to go after all the dark money that keeps pouring into their campaign coffers. It may be hard, but I think that’s the only viable solution. CA’s voting rights and secure elections — just as in WA — are a faint memory.
