Florida Governor Proposes Law That Protects Drivers Fleeing Mobs

Dan Bongino: As liberal leaders allow riots to flourish, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is proposing a new law that would protect his citizens against the mob.

In legislation that will be filed for the March 2021 session, DeSantis’ law would create new criminal offenses and increase penalties to those who target law enforcement and particulate in riots. The law would also bring bad news for those who threaten drivers by giving drivers new liability protection if they kill or injure anyone while “fleeing for safety.” more

  1. That would never happen in Canada.

It is our duty to get beaten to a pulp with possible charges if your Jaw breaks the Peaceful Protesters Knuckle.

  2. Uncle Al, that’s a cool Edsel rat rod station wagon that is worthy of that Rat Fink treatment. It’s ugly and still an Edsel but it is cool. Most people wouldn’t even know what that is. Can we do something similar for a late 40’s Studebaker Champion or a mid 50’s Studebaker Hawk. And you know of course that they said Edsel’s looked like an Oldsmobile sucking a lemon.

  3. jellybean – Do we really need a law that protects people from escaping imminent danger??
Probably not, but we do need guide lines for jury’s these days, preferably written with crayons!

DeSantis Rocks. Hope he gets to be POTUS one day. We need a fearless ass-kicker like this to deal with the commie horde that isn’t going away anytime soon.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a Ron DeSantis / Matt Gaetz ticket.

On second thought, both the Pres and VPres candidates can’t be residents of the same state.

  5. JellyBean,
“Do we really need a law….”
Unfortunately, yes. Between the hostile prosecutors and the frivolous criminal and civil lawsuits, yes, yes we do.
