A month or so ago, we had the Waffle House shooting story where an unarmed guy wrestled a rifle away from the shooter.
Unarmed guy is celebrated as a hero though he admits he was just acting in self-preservation. GoFundMe raises a quarter mil, he gets invited and honored at pro sports event, mayor gives him a key to the city, he gets co-opted and starts taking pics with David Hogg and the Marjory Stoneman Douglas gun grabber caucus.
In their free time between die ins and rehearsing for the Tony Awards.
A few days ago, three armed robbers came in guns blazing at a Burger King across town from the Waffle House at closing time. The Manager is armed and kills on of them. Another shoots the Manager several times and he is in critical condition.
The employees detail how the Manager is a hero, protected them, and laid down his life for theirs.

the 1911 was a great killer. Even if you did not kill the son of a whore (And that was generally the case) he went down – no matter where you got him. then you could crawl to him and kill him! Wonderful!
I never saw a Chinaman remain on his feet after a .45 hit him! NEVER! And Mao’s boys were men!
It hit 100 degrees here in NorCal this week. I’d rather sweat on a $500.00 Glock than a $1,000.00 plus steel framed 1911. Carry guns can take a beating. Plus the Glock is more reliable than 1911’s or the HiPower. Those older HiPowers are becoming collectors items.
