FOX News Insider: A well-known former political science professor sounded off on a North Carolina elementary school’s flyer detailing “white privilege.”
Earlier this month, an eight-year-old in Raleigh brought home a worksheet discussing “white privilege” – which the school later said was a project of the PTA and not the curriculum.
A North Carolina mother is questioning her son’s elementary school after the second-grader brought home a sheet detailing white privilege.
Amber Pabon said her eight-year-old brought home the paper from Hunter Magnet Elementary School in Raleigh. The school said it was sent home with students by the PTA and was not a lesson taught in class.
She said her African-American son then proceeded to ask her questions about whether white people “are better” than him.
The PTA said the sheets were meant for parents, arguing the campaign has received positive feedback and is aimed at “generating awareness and empathy” in the community.
Dr. Carol Swain, a former Vanderbilt professor and 2018 Nashville, Tenn. mayoral candidate, said the flyer is “part of the ongoing indoctrination… designed to instill shame and guilt among white youth.” watch

While I appreciate the attention to NC schools myriad problems, Miss Swain will be running for Mayor of Nashville, Tennessee and not Nashville, North Carolina.

decided that rather than find someone qualified with an established track record for fixing public schools that they wanted someone black and that was all that mattered. We need a 1st black this or a 1st black that Because It’s Time or something. And they got what they wanted. A unanimous school board pick.
For anyone who hasn’t seen Season 4 of The Wire, they decided to pick one Dr. Shawn Joseph who was a deputy Superintendent of Baltimore city schools to replicate the success memorialized in that popular tv show. Now kids be ax-king, “Why can’t Omar read? Why Dookie not taking a bath?”
In that short two years, Mr. Joseph is now finding himself in hot water for somehow overspending several million dollars (which he was not authorized to do) and handing out sweetcake, no contract, no bid jobs to personal friends of his and exploding the number of hires.

The majority of the media will not criticize him because he’s black. He’s an arrogant son of a whore who keeps a race card in his front pocket. He’s “open” to the suggestion of an audit. The School Board will not criticize him for the same reason and because he was their choice. They will not criticize their own kind because race comes first before any kids’ educations. Joseph saw these country bumpkin hayseeds high on Diversity and went in dry on their asses.
I will support Swain but it is an uphill battle against entrenched, organized Democrat politicos and the media. Focusing on local issues matters because it is a short lead time until the special election to replace the Slutpig Megan Barry and there is a heavily financed $9B Transit plan effort being voted on in 3 weeks.
If she’s serious about running for Mayor, it’s time to be serious about the issues that matter locally and not get into talking head distractions.
