Former Washington Free Beacon journalist runs for Congress

WFB: Former Washington Free Beacon journalist Matthew Foldi filed to run for Congress on Friday morning in western Maryland, the Free Beacon has learned.

Foldi filed to enter the Republican primary for Maryland’s Sixth Congressional District, which is held by two-term Democratic incumbent David Trone, a multi-millionaire who co-founded Total Wine. Foldi, who is best known for his brutal takedowns of Biden energy secretary Jennifer Granholm—as well as his flamboyant outfits and revolting meatless diet—will now look to accost the enemies of freedom from the hallowed halls of Congress, as opposed to his obscenely messy Free Beacon desk.

Free Beacon editor in chief Eliana Johnson said Foldi will be “missed” in the office.

“His unrefrigerated bottle of sriracha will be missed,” Johnson said. “Foldi may not be able to clean his desk, but we trust he would do a better job cleaning up Congress.” more here

  1. This is the gerrymandered district, as are all districts in the People’s Democratic Republic of Maryland, which includes a good portion of Montgomery County. Montgomery County has a population of nearly 1 million people and borders D.C. It has nothing in common with Western Maryland. Whoever wins the Republican nomination will have an uphill battle.
