French police in the department of Bas-Rhin in Alsace arrested four individuals advertising drugs on social media, and offering free hand sanitiser and medical masks with each purchase.
The four people arrested, three men aged between 27 and 28 and one woman aged 40, advertised the sale of cannabis resin, cocaine and ecstasy through the popular social media mobile app Snapchat and offered to deliver the illegal drugs to the homes of their customers.
Investigators say the four travelled up to 500 kilometres in two days delivering drugs in the area and not only offered masks and hand sanitizer but made sure to fill out lockdown travel certificates that claimed they were travelling to pharmacies to pick up medicine. more

As everyone knows, Weed is legal in Canuckistan.
They handled it like they handled alcohol, stupidly.
Weed can be grown by anybody with a little bit of time and effort. You are allowed to have up to 4 plants in your house! Scotch, brandy, rum etc, not so easy & $$$$$ to get started and make.
The government expected HUGE revenue from legalization and in a typical canadian manner interfered, over regulated and over taxed. Expecting that customers would take quality over price they even dictated the minimum price that could be charged per gram and where stores could be located.
The result:
Street vendors lowered their prices, the criminality disappeared, legal producer stock prices crashed hugely, and now with Covid-1984 the government is actually giving aid to laid off workers.
Businesses and stores are getting government aid, legal supply lines are disappearing and yet use is still climbing. Many of the producers are expected to go bankrupt within the year.
The Gov’t expected that most legal weed would be delivered by post, courier, etc, which it is (1 to 3 days latter) Payments were by credit card and the info of who uses can easily be disseminated. Great career move!
One of the simplest things the illegal dealers did was to put snacks, pizza, munchies in their trunks of cars and give added value service. So calling one up gets you your weed, a snack, and takes minutes rather than days and costs less to buy and zero effort to acquire.
Illegal Dealers have been doing great since CV-1984 and if they had other real jobs before and were laied off are most likely getting an extra government CERB payment.
True, all of it. In the end the government will end up loosing more than they ever imagined to the WEED INDUSTRY.
