Wait, let me get this straight, instead of doing what the law required, booting Fani off the case for clear legal and ethical violations, he allowed her to stay on but gave Trump his permission (like he needed it) to appeal his ruling, and this is somehow a win for Trump?
What should have happened; Fani is disqualified and brought up on criminal charges. The case is dismissed and Trump has one less legal entanglement to worry about. But as of now, the case is alive ands well, and the Trump team gets to appeal the ruling, big whoop. There is no guarantee that the appellate court will “give Big Fani the bum rush right out the door”. Sure, it delays the trial but a better outcome would be to kill it entirely.
These winks and nods are costing an awful lot of money and taking a lot of time.
