Breitbart– A bombshell audit from Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy reveals that California, under the direction of Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), illegally issued thousands of Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDLs) to dangerous foreign truck drivers. Duffy said the CDLs are now being revoked.
This week, Duffy’s Department of Transportation (DOT) announced that the California Department of Motor Vehicles admitted to illegally issuing 17,000 CDLs to foreign truck drivers, who DOT officials said are dangerous and unqualified to drive semi-trucks.

There should be dispatchers all across the country telling drivers to pull over and park your truck safely at first opportunity and wait for your replacement driver to arrive.

Went on a week long road trip in the southwest and noticed truckers were going the appropriate speed limits and overall well behaved. I did see a few others got pulled over by law enforcement. On a side note, we got a flat tire in officer Bovino’s county and two Border Patrol officers stopped to offer assistance. Very welcomed kindness.

Pretended to be a security guard (in retirement) for a number of years and get out of the house like “she who must be obeyed” required. One of the ongoing and bigger pain in the ass occurrences was the drivers who wanted you to use “the phone app” for translating language. Also, the driving skills were COMPLETELY LACKING. Got out of there when the corporate know-it-alls came up with their NEW solutions and procedures that made the job impossible to do safely.
The drivers didn’t have to have licenses from a state issuing department of motor vehicles. Licenses from Mexico were acceptable. Doubt that that has changed. Starting about two months ago with the growing season ending in the states all the produce for processing came from Mexico. Some shipped via boat to FL and then trucked north to Northern IL, with most trucked from Mexico through AZ to Northern IL.
Greasy Gavin essentially turned the chimps loose on America.

I would also like to know which trucking companies are hiring these illegal and dangerous drivers. I often drive from the coast through the Central Valley of California for work and see a lot of sketchy semi-trucks with equally sketchy drivers. Aren’t there enough qualified American truckers to fill the jobs? Or are companies hiring cheap unlicensed labor?!
Yeah, 60 days to allow them to rack up more deaths.
Tell me, what do you think illegal aliens who are given everything will do when their licenses are revoked? Just keep driving until they are caught and sent back to their home countries.

If there a 60 day extension, I hope law enforcement has many unannounced checkpoint sweeps planned to find them and send them home.
Just had a driver the other day drop off a load of mowers and could barely speak English.
He kept asking my Boss something about screws and motioned for my Boss to follow him.
Apparently he showed my Boss the brake booster box that is usually attached to the cab with all the air brake hoses attached to it just hanging there.
It was explained to him he needed the proper bolts to reattach the box and it was dangerous to drive It with it just dangling there.
That was interpreted by the driver to mean can I have a piece of wire which he took, wired the booster to bracket nearby also on the back of the cab and left with the box dangling and bouncing around.
It was cute.

There are lots of qualified American truckers who have left the industry because of over regulation, too much paperwork, and mandatory computerization and surveillance in the cab. It takes a special personality type to leave home and family, head out on the highways for days, responsible for a freight load of other people’s inventory, and make pick up and delivery appointments in spite of the weather and the traffic. Then you wanna tell him he’s driven his quota for the day, has to fill out more forms and that the office is tracking his every move on the GPS? So much for the freedom of the open road. A lot of those guys have quit or taken an early retirement and the freight companies are left with hiring unqualified and/or illegal applicants who break the regulations and fake the forms, just like they did regarding their licenses and work permits. And yes, as an extra perk, they probably are cheaper labor too, taking at least part of their pay under the table.
