Gavin Newsom’s in-laws fled from California to Florida during the pandemic, records show

FOX

Not only did the in-laws of Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom give money to one of his biggest political foes; they fled from his state during the pandemic.

Kenneth F. Siebel Jr. and Judith A. Siebel, parents of Newsom’s wife Jennifer Siebel and longtime California residents, became Florida residents in 2020 after purchasing a $3.3 million Naples home in March of that year, records show. The Siebels appear to still have ownership of their California home in northern San Francisco suburb of Ross.

Newsom’s in-laws, however, officially became registered voters in the Sunshine State as of June 2020. Kenneth Siebel is a registered Republican while Judith Siebel has no party affiliation.

The voter registration shift occurred as their son-in-law enacted some of the country’s strictest COVID lockdowns, which have widely been juxtaposed to the lack of restrictions in red states like Florida.

Neither the Siebels nor Gov. Newsom’s office immediately responded to Fox News’ requests for comment. more

  1. Siebel Software is in San Mateo, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Department’s gun range is called San Mateo County Sheriff Siebel Gun Range. They have public usage hours for rifles only. They finished a “state of the art” remodel of the range but it closed to the public during the Chyna virus. I am pretty sure Newscum’s wife is related to those Siebels who live, I think, in Woodside. Family gatherings must be a bit interesting, what with Siebels supportive of the Sheriff’s Dept and building a fancy gun range. 😁 It’s the range I took my son when he was a youngster to teach him how to shoot. It was not fancy back then!

  2. Not knowing anything about this California family, I’d guess they’ve been there a long time… which means they can remember when it was a great place. I’d dare bet they even voted for Nixon for Governor.
