(NEXSTAR) – The causes of death for actor Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa were released Friday after days of mystery and speculation.
At a media conference Friday, Dr. Heather Jarrell, chief medical examiner for New Mexico’s medical investigator office, identified Hackman’s cause of death as hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiac disease, with Alzheimer’s disease as a significant contributory factor. Arakawa’s cause of death was said to be hantavirus pulmonary syndrome. more here
THIS IS BEYOND STRANGE
THE LADY DIED A WK BEFORE HACKMAN, FROM SOME RODENT INFECTION, AND HACKMAN STUMBLES AROUND FOR A WK WITHOUT NOTICING, THEN COLLAPSES IN A MUD ROOM??
AND THE DOG MISIDENTIFIED??
WTF GOIN’ ON
Talk about late onset Alzheimer’s, he was still narrating documentaries 8 years ago. Surely, they must have known he was declining mentally then and he must have been pretty far gone by the time of his death. These two should have had regular nursing assistance to give the wife a break from caring for him. Where were the children to keep track of their wellbeing? A family member should have been checking in on them daily, at least.
It really doesn’t add up. No sense at all.
After hearing an abbreviated version while driving today, they left out the dog altogether, I was thinking it was some kind of cover up. Because it makes no sense.
Somethin’ stinks 🦨 and doesn’t add up
I have a suspicious mind and in the world in which we live in 😳
🙏❤️🕊️🇺🇸
According to Fox News Live a necropsy still had to be done on the dog.
Sounds like a ton of bullshit still. So how did the dog end up locked in the closet? And is the hantavirus actually that prevalent? Used to be very rare, only spread by mice/rodents, and generally made the news when anyone was infected. And seriously, he magically died a week after her of that? Individually each death might be explainable in those specific terms, but put them all in one house and pull this story out of your ass….no way.
Actually this story makes sense to me. If he had advanced alzheimerrs he may not have been rational enough to know what to do after she passed. If I died suddenly my brother (stroke severely affected his hippocampus) would probably stumble around for a few days until one of my friends figured out I had died. it’s morbid but as we get older my group of friends check in every few days to make sure no one has passed. If you don’t have a good network to keep tabs on you it can happen.
So the dog did shoot himself. Call me a skeptic, but this sounds anorexic to me.
MrLiberty, you’re not wrong, but those that have been jabbed, multiple boosters have a reduced immunity, and lung issues are a problem for them.

Most excellent point. Logically what they’re saying is, well, illogical.
And I guess the dog still shot himself.
Where are the children in all of this 🤔
If your Dad is 95+ wouldn’t you check in at least every other day at the minimum 🤔
^^^^
Bingo. Let alone three freaken weeks. There’s something not right here.
I feel bad for the dog. How’d he die? Locked in a closet? Ew. How did the other dogs survive?
How did Hackman eat for a week? And he never went into his own bathroom? That far gone? No cleaning lady? No delivery person? And she was sick for days, weeks, and didn’t call a doctor?
Too weird. And what happened to the earlier reports that they looked “mummified”? All gone… I still say poison.
I had read that the door of the house was open. That could explain why the other dogs survived. I read that the autopsy on him showed that his stomach was empty although there were no signs of dehydration.
As far as the mummification, I had read elsewhere that their extremities showed signs of mummification. Hands on one of them, feet on the other. It was attributed to the open door, the weather and the altitude. The house is at 7500 ft. above sea level.
If i thought there was a chance of me finding the links to what I posted above I’d do so but my browser history doesn’t go back far enough.
Why can’t this be Joe and Jill Biden’s story instead?
Or Bill and Hill.
Or Barry and Mike.
The second phase of Hanta virus is acute. Phase 1, you have a cold or flu for a couple days. When phase two hits, your lungs can fill with blood quite suddenly and you just drop.
Since she was his caretaker, she was probably responsible for giving him his blood pressure / heart meds. Add in advanced Alzheimer’s… Yea, he could be confused enough to put the dog in the closet, and not be able to find his wife.
There should have been another care taker, family contact, etc… But who knows what the family dynamic was, and there’s NM law too… Each state is different, and a few are quite self-serving. I’m under the impression Nevada takes you estate and tosses you in a nursing home. Can’t say I know what NM does, but that’s the sort of stuff people have to consider when caring for an Alzheimer’s patient.

too many fat ***** bitches working in “rest” homes
forget it. this is nm, where shitholers run free & the “greatest danger” is yt-people defending themselves from ****** assholes that vote for the gun control cunt luhan/wuhan.
Certainly plausible, especially in New Mexico. That does not excuse family, friends and neighbors from responsibility to check on them, even if they were reclusive.
