George Floyd’s Texas pardon withdrawn

Just The News:

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott granted eight pardons Thursday, but George Floyd and 24 others were withdrawn from consideration by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles due to “procedural errors.”

Floyd’s posthumous pardon request was for a 2004 drug conviction.

The governor’s press secretary Renae Eze stated, “The Board of Pardons and Paroles has withdrawn 25 clemency recommendations that contained procedural errors and lack of compliance with Board rules.”

“As a result of the Board’s withdrawal of the recommendation concerning George Floyd, Governor Abbott did not have the opportunity to consider it. Governor Abbott will review all recommendations that the Board submits for consideration,” Eze said. read more

  1. The guy had a long rap sheet in multiple states. Why would he be pardoned for a 2004 felony?

Having said that, let the rioting begin. I wouldn’t recommend “peacefully protesting” in Texas, you might run into resistance with extreme prejudice. Maybe Minneapolis, Portland or Seattle would be better.

  2. George Floyd was unavailable for comment.

Because he killed himself with a Fentanyl overdose that the police had nothing to do with.

All of which had NOTHING to do with crimes he was duly convicted of 16 years previously in another state.

George Floyd was not a story of redemption. George Floyd was a lifetime criminal who had no regrets for his evil and would have continued to ruin the lives of others had he not overdosed.

How fitting it is then that lives are ruined in his name to this day.

Tony R is right. He’s got his TRUE judgment now.

And THAT Judge is not swayed by his skin color.

    He made it.

And He will not excuse Georgia over it.

  3. What does it say about the people asking for a posthumous pardon for a convicted felon that died of a drug overdose while resisting arrest?

These people really are mentally ill. We need to bring back psychiatric hospitals for them, so they don’t hurt themselves or anyone else.

  4. By now, even most black people know that making a saint out of that piece of shit George Floyd is just crazy race hustling and white liberal bullshit.

Floyd probably reminds them of at least one family member, friend, or acquaintance who fucked them over once for no damn good reason.

It makes a moral difference to me. It lets some people know that they are NOT INSANE and that there are still some people with standards & Morals that will maintain the Truth about the leach on society.

    Cheers.

  6. Black guy dies from overdose, with police present.
I had never heard of “plugging” until George.
If there are more legally armed citizens, there would be way less crime.
Way fewer trials and fewer lawyers.
