A campus police officer quickly confronted a 14-year-old gunman, who is a student at the school, and got him to surrender immediately, officials said,

“Our school resource officer engaged him and the shooter quickly realized that if he did not give up, that it would end with an OIS — an officer involved shooting,” Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith told reporters.

“He gave up, got on the ground and the deputy took him into custody.” more here

  12. There was a young man who shot and killed 1 student and wounded 3 others at Freeman HS just S. of Spokane about 3 or so years ago. Since he was a juvenile at the time of the shooting, he was originally sentenced to 40 years to life in prison and now on this Friday 9-06-24 his conviction will be reduced to 25 years in prison because of resentencing and the fact that he was a juvenile at the time of the murder. I don’t know whether this is fair or not, my first instinct is that he should serve the full 40 years in prison which is what the family of the murdered victim wants to see him serve.

  14. There is a simple response to a leftist bringing up ‘sensible gun control’, and that is to point at the tens of thousands of annual deaths to fentanyl, tens of thousands of trafficked children, vets dying in the streets. The numbers just don’t compare.
    And of course there would be FEWER gun deaths if they allowed armed good guys in the schools, including teachers. But it’s too much of an argument to make on the debate stage.

  19. How many deaths from Fentanyl? How many people have been murdered by new arrivals? How many immigrants have died trying to get here? Why are militant Venizualan gang members armed better than local LE and what are you doing about disarming them. Why do liberal progressives only come after legally owned guns?
    I hope Trump comes loaded for bear because intentional or not she now has her talking point and you can bet your ass this will be the only thing the moderators focus on.

  22. This is not a gun issue; it’s a school issue. Don’t ban guns; do away with compulsory public education.

    The kids aren’t doing mass shootings at home or on the farm or in the family business or at their afterschool jobs or internships. Public schools are built and run like prisons and they aren’t even teaching the kids anything. School vouchers and an overhaul of the child labor laws would result in less homicidal rage in the youth. I am dead serious.

    To this day if LE catches a criminal on the street with a stolen hand gun with an estimated value under $999.00 it’s a misdemeanor. They get a ticket. That started under her tenure as Cali AG. Now obviously she didn’t write that bill. But she didn’t do anything to stop it either. Once again they don’t have a problem with illegal guns. They have a problem with us owning legal guns.

If you get a chance try and catch Shawn Ryans interview with Kash Patel. Kind of a come to Jesus moment for many. Some very important time lines from a man that knows.
