Georgia Passes Bill Requiring ID For Absentee Ballots

Trending Politics:

It’s about time.

Protests erupted inside Georgia’s state Capitol building late on Tuesday after both the state House and Senate passed bills expanding voter ID laws.

“ID for absentee ballots are now required in Georgia. Angry leftists react by storming the state capitol,” Ian Miles Cheong said on Twitter, attaching a video of an interaction between protesters and the police inside the Capitol building.

According to WXIA reporter Doug Richards, the protester seen in the video confronting a state trooper is Democratic state Rep. Park Cannon.

Cannon and several other Democratic members of the Georgia House of Representatives joined protests of the new legislation.

A state trooper using a bullhorn then attempted to disperse the lawmakers, informing them that they were in violation of a state statute against disturbing lawmakers in session.

“You will disperse immediately, or you will be arrested,” the trooper said through the bullhorn.

Cannon refused to move until another trooper can be seen in the video trying to get her out of there.

“Session is adjourned, so there is no disrupting of the session,” Cannon said. “Session is over! That is why all the members are out!”

While the House had entered recess for lunch at the time of the incident, the Senate was still in session.

“No! That is not true,” Cannon said as another trooper attempted to get the lawmakers to disperse. “There is no disrupting of the members.” more here

  1. It was only a “peaceful protest” because, leftists. If it were conservatives it would have been an insurrection/extremist attack on guv’mint officials and property.

  2. They wouldn’t dare light a match at that protest. That chick in the mismatched outfit has the greasiest hair I’ve seen in a while.
Use sparingly, sayeth the directions. Not, ‘dig up to your elbow, then apply’.

  3. I’m afraid it will be like the signature match requirement that was clearly stated in the law that was not enforced in the last election. You have to send in ID but the vote counters won’t check it against anything – wouldn’t want to suppress the vote that way ya know. Rinse, repeat ad nauseum.

As long as the China / Dominion grifters Kemp and Raffensperger continue to be allowed to stink up the state, I suspect Tank Abrams will find a way to steal future elections just like the last one.

  4. “There will be people on them, watching, this time.”

There were people watching the last time until they were booted out of the polling places. The largest cities in those 5 suspect states all had democrat “volunteers” in charge of counting the votes. When the polls closed the doors were locked and those GOP poll watchers (those wanting-expecting a fair account) were booted out as “disruptive to the process”.

Nothing so far has been done to remedy this inequity.

OT, the Derek Chauvin trial starts next week. Minneapolis is being turned into a mini DC, with 3000 officers ready to respond. This outta be good.
