Georgia state Rep. Mesha Mainor on Tuesday said she made the “moral” decision to leave the Democratic Party to become a Republican.
“I made the decision to leave the Democrat Party,” Mainor, who represents a heavily Democratic district in Atlanta, tweeted.
She also wrote that it “wasn’t a political decision,” but “a MORAL one,” adding, “I will NEVER apologize for being a black woman with a mind of my own.” more
Most of the Georgia Republican Politian’s are RINOs anyway.
Big deal. Not a dime’s worth of difference between the two parties. Everyone with half a brain knows this.

Not sure how much this benefits the squishy R’s unless she becomes a bit of a fire breathing convert.
Her decision may inspire others to reconsider how they vote. She’ll be lambasted by the leftist propaganda outlets for stepping off the leftist entitlement plantation. Then she’ll ignored. I hope she’s sincere, and if she is, I wish her well.
