Getting Home Before Dark

Evil times are on the way and the best way to survive them is to be home before dark.

CanadaFreePress: A worrisome darkness is settling in over North America and the best place you can be is home before dark.

In a now upside-down world, it’s reached the point where in essence radical Islam and Marxist governments want the same thing for society:  the conversion of all Christian souls over to Islam and Marxism.  For Islam to advance its Caliphate, for Marxism to make the end justify its means, it’s your very immortal soul that they need.

This two-headed enemy wants you in despair and feeling woefully alone.  Politicians of the day like Barack Obama and now Canada’s Justin Trudeau work to make Conservatives and Christians a hated-by-progressives minority to be hounded out of existence.

But there are millions of us and they have an impossibly long way to go to get what they want.  MORE

  1. The moslime scum are the worldwide enforcers for the aforementioned political scumbag tyrants. They are armed, violent, and everywhere. They will do what the army and police won’t do to their innocent fellow citizens, family, friends.

Let us all pray that Israel annihilates hundreds of millions of them soon. Please.

  2. Isn’t it dramatic? It seemed (to me) like either time froze waiting for the man to get home safe, or something’s about to sneak up on him and snatch his ass into some trouble. LOL.

  3. I’ll stick with .357’s equivalent in semi-auto. 15 +1 rounds the first go ’round with a quick mag change for another 15 to go.

No revolver can match that fire power.

    Model G20 all the way!

The last time I shot my S&W 586 and G20 at the range – the .357 jammed from primers backing out enough to prevent the cylinder from opening up. Factory ammo.

Revolvers are NOT always reliable. 6 shots and was a paperweight afterwards.

I love my 586. She’s a beauty. But the G20 and G29 are the ones on duty. Night sights and Crimson Trace to boot. No contest.

  4. “Evil times are on the way and the best way to survive them is to be home before dark.”

Evil times aren’t “on the way” they are here, now.
The best way to fight the darkness is to illuminate.
    God is Light.
Jesus is the Light of the World.

    Keep Calm, and Return Fire.
    Exhale. Squeeze.

No one who was afraid of the dark ever won a war.

  5. I’ll stick with my Ruger Police Service Six, there is no equivalent. That gun was retired because it was too efficient. Thousands of rounds hand loaded and fired through it and never even one misfire. And I can do a complete teardown using only a dime as a tool.
Speed loaders are good enough for me.
The 125 grain .357magnum round is still the best man-stopper hand gun round. And I can load from paper cutters to damn near 2000 fps and anything in between. Wouldn’t trade it for ten semi-autos or a gold plated S&W 586. lol. That’s what works for me.

  6. “That gun was retired because it was too efficient.”

Hopefully the oddest statement I’ll read today. One doesn’t retire the better option.

You’ve got my love and respect, Unruly. If it works for you – you should keep on using it. Also, anything someone is familiar with is always the better choice for them, IMO.

I also totally agree that the range of possible loads is greater than a 10mm. Still, the total firepower with the G20 exceeds any 6 shooter. Even a 44mag. Just a simple fact. One that may make THE difference with multiple attackers.

I use 135gr hp at 1600 fps as the man-stopper. 767 ft lbs It aint no slacker.

You’re just not familiar with 10mm possibilities. No biggie. You’re cool.

Currently, I can switch the barrel out in seconds and fire 3 different kinds of bullets. .40SW 10mm & .357sig – I have 4 barrels for it. My hunting barrel is a 6 inch 10mm with threads. It’s a very versatile weapon. No 6 shooter comes close to that.

Yet, I would rather reload .357 over 10mm any day of the year. Much safer. I also don’t think my G20 is a practical every day carry. It is my hunting gun pulling double duty when not hunting. Both .357 and 10mm are too much for many people, so there’s that.

Shoot what you know. Can’t go wrong. Peace.

  7. That is a true statement, even if it sounds odd to you. “You’re just not familiar with” .357magnum possibilities (two can play the “make the other guy look stupid” game). One of the complaints about the .357mag was that it was too deadly. And another was that it sometimes took down the bad guy and the poor bastard standing behind him.
I’ve got all of that information on my bookshelf. You could find it yourself too if you spent some time looking. No offense intended.

    .358 (.357) 125-gr Speer GDHP, 22.3C Power Pro 300-MP = 2000 fps. Beat that! 🙂

  8. Not trying to make you look stupid, Unruly.

I can see your dander is up – sorry really not trying for that, but honestly, you said efficient. Nothing about over penetration. Which is true of both of these calibers.

Yes, they are both too much for a lot of situations.

  9. @Dadof4, [I hate that the reply button disappears after so many replies] , what I meant was it was thought to be too efficient at killing the suspects, rather than just stopping them. And yes, you would think they would want to kill anybody they saw fit to shoot at, but that wasn’t the case when they retired the Police Service Six .357 service revolver.

I’m not trying to get crossways with you, sometimes my choice of words is not the best, and I’m not hitting on all 8 cylinders yet this morning; hell, it’s afternoon already. lol .

I never have owned a 10mm but have worked on a couple. The S&W felt like a cheap toy in my hand. That was an officer’s weapon too.

Maybe I’m just set in my ways, but I like heavy duty, no-trouble, American-made, reliable things. Still, I can see where a large capacity weapon would be good in a riot situation. But that’s what I have my 7.62 with the 30 round mag for. And shame on me for not buying American on that one, lol. Did I mention I am on a tight budget too?

Anyway Dadof4, I understand what you are saying and hope we will always be friends. Don’t take me to seriously if I sound like I’m getting pissed off — I run into that once in a while when I’m just trying to make a point, some people take it the wrong way. I am very, very rarely pissed off at anybody here, and when I am it’s usually some outsider progtard. Perhaps I don’t always pick the best choice of sentences with which to express my thoughts, and I am somewhat conversationally retarded, if I may coin a phrase in my own defense. 🙂

Cheers Brother. Have a great weekend.

  10. Thanks, Unruly. I truly was not trying to irk you.

7.62 , 30 round mag – and not American? We must talkin’ AK variant ? There’s a crowd disperser.

My 7.62s are all 12mm longer. Some bolt some semi. I was thinking of reaching a little further out there with precision when I got them. And 20 rds is the most any of my mags will hold.

  11. SKS. The magazines are fixed, so I have to use stripper clips. But I have a lot of those “clips”. I keep it set up with the 10-rounder, otherwise it won’t fit in the gun case. Only takes a couple minutes to change them out.
Still has the spike bayonet attached too, for zombies, lol.

  12. That was a slam dunk/home run of an article there. Whichever way the world ends up, we are all going into eternity at some point, sooner or later, but almost always sooner than we’d hoped.
