GOP Sen. Mike Lee (Utah) Thanks India’s Visa-Workers for Pressuring U.S. Senators to Export U.S. Jobs

Even Conservatives have global elitists.

Utah Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) made the request on Thursday, shortly his fourth bid to pass his S.286 green-card giveaway bill. The bill was quickly blocked by an objection from a Democratic Senator — while the other 52 GOP Senators did not speak out. “We’re now down to one objector, just one,” Lee claimed, adding:

What we don’t know is how long any one objector will continue to object to something that does as much good as this bill does while doing no harm. It is pretty hard to do that … I’m going to have to keep doing it until I lose my voice.

  1. Mr Libertarian Constitutionalist. He’s soft on google too. They stuff his campaign coffers.

I’ll never forget him hunched down on the back bleachers in his cheap plastic rain poncho with a scowl on his face while Trump was sworn in. Best. Day. Ever.

Can you imagine a night out with him and Ted Cruz? Two blowhards.
    Snoozefest. Pukefest.

  2. Mike Lee is another one who sold the tea party a bill of goods. And another Utah guy. And he’s no conservative.

We should all be done with Republican wannabes who don’t toe the Trumpublican line. Get rid of them. “Moderate” voters don’t understand what’s at stake right now. Too much to lose by compromise. I’d rather put up with radical conservatism than live under the progressives’ agenda.

  3. Put on the list of disappointments and just let it go, cut that political tie off, he has always come across as a WIMP.

Believe me, I voted, holding my nose for many recent presidential elections. McStain, Mittens…Bush II to a MAJOR degree now.

But! We have DJT POTUS now. Wooo Hooo.

And they can all go to hell where they belong.

  4. @Tony R “Backstabbing traitorous little prick. F.U. Mike Lee, and the state you rode in on.”

It seems Utah has a mold for Senators. Isn’t Mitt the RINOPRICK, from that state.

  5. Also, if you look at the history of LDS, once upon a time they wanted foreigners to come to this country and then they started to tell them to stay in their home country and build the Church there. Maybe they’re back to wanting to make this their battleground country.

  6. Mike Lee is not well liked in Utah. He and others like him, get into their positions because of the nomination system in this state.

We used to be less polarized politically, but the extremism that began in the late 60’s pushed us to a one party state by the time Reagan was voted into office. The Utah State Democratic Party used to be able to field a slate of moderates and conservatives, but I haven’t seen any since Dubbya Derangement Syndrome set in. This leaves opportunities for carpetbaggers like Bro. Mitt and Bro. Lee to bully themselves onto the ballot and get a guaranteed win, since we would vote for a St. Bernard over a Democrat, outside of Salt Lake County.

The LDS Church does not dictate to LDS politicians. It will occasionally make statements on pertinent societal and cultural issues. I have seen many LDS politicians ignore those statements, when it comes to legislation. Bro. Mitt, especially, has gone out of his way to avoid any appearance of religious influence in his political decisions.

The Republican Party in Utah is suffering from putrification caused by forty years of electoral dominance (outside of Salt Lake County). I wish there was a viable alternative party, but there isn’t. Most Republican office holders in this state are RINOs who would switch parties in a heartbeat if the pendulum swings left. My own state representative is one.

Bro. Lee’s insistence in pushing this immigration bill through infuriates me, as I see my boys having to compete against these visa workers, not only in finding employment, but in finding graduate school opportunities. If foreign students and workers really were the cream of the crop, perhaps I would have a different opinion, but they are not. They are often far less qualified. Even if they are as good as US citizens, the law states that they cannot be given preference in hiring, but the system has embraced the new paradigm.

All I can do is scream on the internet and keep voting against Bro. Lee and Bro. Mitt in the primaries, but only if they don’t lock things up in convention.

  7. The LDS wants cheap labor and converts, probably in that order.

“The LDS Church does not dictate to LDS politicians.”

Maybe not…but you can believe that so many of, what’s it called, the Quorum of Seventy or whatever it’s called, and other high up connected ones are high-ranking business millionaires that Mormon politicians darn well do take their “suggestions.”

  8. “Those crazy Mormons!”

Don’t fall for it. (To quote one of those crazy Mon Calamari, “It’s a trap!”)

If you know “gay marriage” is a poison in the body politic, removing supporters of “gay marriage” from participation in politics is what needs to be done. (“Stay on target.”) If “all” Episcopalians “must” support “gay marriage”, then all “good” Episcopalians will have to go. Not because they’re Episcopalian, but because of their (individual) poisoning of the body politic, with their (individual) support of “gay marriage”.

If a grifter claims to be worthy of your support because they are Roman Catholic, and their support of infanticide — then by all means knock them down. For their lying. Even if they insist you should vote for them, “Because The Pope’s not the boss of me!” (Hey! Nanny! How you been?) And that leads to The Pope handing them their Catholic pink slip. It only matters what a lying grifter they are.

When you succumb to your intellectual laziness, and discount all of “those people”, because of their religion, not even — but especially — when their religion demands the evil they do, their howling of “Your Hate Speech™!” is, in fact, accurate. If what is right demands the silencing of 99 and 44/100ths percent of the Jews, and 66/100ths percent of the gentiles, Disparate Impact™ will be spit at you. It’s other people’s intellectual laziness. If you “cut to the chase” and sweep aside the Jews, you’ve still got 66/100ths percent of the gentiles carrying on, and (a deserved) smear of Judeophobe.

Don’t let those that call you “enemy” box you into the trap they’ve constructed. The trap they always use. Because they’re lazy. (And it’s, so often, worked.) Stay on target.

  9. “And that leads to The Pope handing them their Catholic pink slip.”

Sure it does. Name the last time Rome excomm’d any leftist Catholic politician. Or the time SLC publicly rebuked Harry Reid.

    > Name the last time Rome excomm’d any leftist Catholic politician. Or the time SLC publicly rebuked Harry Reid.

And if they had, should that be what changes your actions? Should you sit quietly on the couch (but paying “your” taxes, of course), until someone who insists you “Respect thay-ah moral authoritah!” calls throws your Professional Betters out?

When a purveyor of infanticide, on your dimes, waves someone else’s holy shroud, should you kneel, before it? Or knock them down? And kick them, while their there, for being such bad liars?

    Stay. On. Target.

  11. Lee’s related to the Udalls.
They’ve got both sides of the aisle covered.
Same as the Byrds and the Broyhills and the Teagues and the Careys and OF COURSE the Kennedys and the Roosevelts and the Rockefellers.

Like hogs to the trough – the greed denies them gainful employment (which has an element of risk).

    izlamo delenda est …
