While the nation has been focused on the Coronavirus crisis, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam and his Democrat-controlled legislature, have been hard at work passing new laws.
Northam has signed numerous bills into law on everything from abortion to gun control. Virginia as we knew it is gone.

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam signed a slew of bills into law on Easter weekend, transitioning the Commonwealth into the liberal bastion that Democrats want it to be.
On Sunday, Northam signed legislation expanding early voting to 45 days before an election without a stated excuse; repealing the state’s voter ID law; and making Election Day a holiday.
To maintain the same number of state holidays, lawmakers repealed the Lee-Jackson Day holiday, established over 100 years ago to honor Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson.
“Voting is a fundamental right, and these new laws strengthen our democracy by making it easier to cast a ballot, not harder,” Northam said in a news release. “No matter who you are or where you live in Virginia, your voice deserves to be heard. I’m proud to sign these bills into law.”
Other bills addressed criminal justice:
The felony larceny threshold is now increased from $500 to $1,000.
Other bills permanently eliminate driver’s license suspensions for unpaid fines, fees, and court costs; raise the age of juvenile transfer to adult court from 14 to 16; and change certain parole conditions.
And social justice:
The new laws repeals “racist and discriminatory language from Virginia’s Acts of Assembly,” give localities the ability to remove or alter Confederate monuments in their communities, and begin the process of replacing Virginia’s statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee in the United States Capitol.
“Racial discrimination is rooted in many of the choices we have made about who and what to honor, and in many of the laws that have historically governed this Commonwealth,” said Governor Northam.

Most people are so useless they DESERVE to be wards of the State. If the truth hurts you, that’s not my fault. That goes for public life as well as private. Masks are falling off of a lot of little tyrants and that’s a GOOD thing. Use this down time to see what’s fucked up and figure out how to fix it. Nobody is coming to save you. No ID needed to vote in an election but you need a state issued ID to get into the same building he works in. Why?

…after watching most of the citizenry not only go hide in their caves when Government threatened the with an invisible boogeyman but ALSO turn IN their neighbors who didn’t share their cowardice to Government’s invisible boogeyman, I’d say history has already answered that question.
Esau in the Bible sold his birthright for a bowl of stew (Genesis 25:29-34).
That’s more than any American got for willingly surrendering their God-given rights.
All America got, was the promise of more, and worse, tyranny.
But most are OK with that.
Because it’s allegedly for their saftey.
It matters not that the numbers are false.
All that matters is that Govenment can now force their neighbors to cower as they cower.

The die is cast. America will be ruled by petty dictators under a tyranny of safety.
It will, eventually, be overthrown, as history repeats those patterns, too.

I am glad I will not live to see the worst of it, as I will likely die in some pointless, unorganized side skirmish or shot down during an illegal Goverment gun grab, or simply executed for things I have already said or for not renouncing Christ, but sad that I will not live to see it end, either. I fear for my son’s generation greatly, as we will not be there to support them at the turn. The slaughter will be fearsome indeed, the devil does not go peacefully…

And yes, we got distracted, complacent, and lazy. Despite all that, I contend that we STILL would not be in this bad of shape if it weren’t for decades of lying, corrupt, compromised Republicans.

…yes, as a generation, we did a horrid job parenting, mostly letting the schools raise the kids. Blame away.

One little old man cutting loose in the government square is only going to get that little old man killed quickly. I would be happy to drag tyrants from their homes and offices and hang them from the nearest tree….. but again, I am ONE little old man. Half the man I once was and seriously doubt that I am capable of hoisting myself into a tree much less somebody else. Whilst I agree that we cannot continue to give up real estate, when the state government makes rules that only work to keep the citizens paying taxes and the tyrants maintaining their stranglehold. I do talk to people around here, and many believe that we NEED stronger “commonsense” firearm laws, and we NEED to cease discrimination (like imposing I.D. requirements), and we NEED the right to murder the most innocent among us with impunity, and we NEED to pay more in taxes (it’s for the children don’t you know).
I came to VA over 20 years ago from MD to escape the creeping socialism brewing there. Now I will bypass NC and land in SC and see what happens there.
I always vote, local, state, general but MY will is seldom done.
