Grand Jury Indicts Man Who Threw Cinderblocks at Border Patrol Officer During LA Riots

– Faces Up to 20 Years in Prison.

GP: A federal grand jury indicted a man who was caught on video throwing cinderblocks at Border Patrol agents in June during the Los Angeles riots.

Jacob Daniel Terrazas, 30 was charged with one count of assault on a federal employee by using a deadly and dangerous weapon resulting in bodily injury.

“After repeatedly throwing pieces of cinderblock at law enforcement, officers detained Terrazas, who now faces up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted,” US Attorney Bill Essayli said.

“We will not stand by while our brave officers get hurt. If you’re thinking of injuring an officer or agent enforcing immigration law, think again. It’s not worth it,” he said. more

  1. There is a big difference between a cinderblock and a piece of a cinderblock. How big was this “piece”? half a block, the size of a baseball, the size of a golfball, a chip? The reduced charge likely has a significant relationship to the size of the actual object.

  2. Yes, I’m all too familiar with the danger of thrown cinderblocks aimed at moving cars. But the video offered nothing of any substance; all I saw were shopping carts, nothing on the agents dodging projectiles or the subject throwing anything.

    My only beef was in the title, not that the little shit didn’t deserve a beatdown and some jail time.
