Taste of Country-
Jeannie Seely, who was one of the longest-serving members in Grand Ole Opry history, died on Friday evening (Aug. 1.)
A statement from the star’s publicity team announced her death, which was the result of complications from an intestinal infection.
The statement also reveals that she had been facing health issues for almost a year, and that those issues ramped up after her husband, Gene Ward, died in December. more

I MISS THE RANCHING DAYS, BEST PEOPLE EVER
@BenitoTBB!! “I MISS THE RANCHING DAYS, BEST PEOPLE EVER”
Right on Bro. I grew up ranching in Texas and listening to Charlie Pride. As a 9 year old boy, the first dance I ever attended was Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, circa 1963. I didn’t care to dance,,, I just stood in front and watched. They were amazing. I miss it all so badly,, but there is no going back. Now I am old and disgusted, but I love my grand-babies.
GOD BLESS YOU, DMAN!!
FOR MY BUD DMAN:

Thx Benito! You the man! That made my day.
I never saw Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys perform but I did see Asleep At The Wheel in concert once in 1972. There is nothing better than good old fashioned western swing, yee haw.
RIP Jeannie Seely.
As more and more of the classic entertainers pass away, I can’t even imagine who will be left to make “memories” for the younger generations. P-Diddy? Kanye West? Lizzo? Miley Cyrus? I know that there are TOO MANY more of their ilk, I just don’t know them because I stopped following music and film entertainment decades ago.
RIP Jeanie Sealy.
I’ve always been a big fan of “Outlaw Country”. They were outlaws because the Grande Old Opera would not recognize them. Jeannie Seely was a very talented performer. Much like Patsy Cline. Honestly I’m not a big fan of the Grande Old Old Mens club.
I Fall To Pieces by Patsy Cline can still make me cry at times when I’m in a depressed mood thinking about my late wife. And I used to hate this song growing up whenever I heard my dad listening to it on our country music station KSPO AM 1230 at his gas station. Now, I’ve become more like my dad as I have gotten older.
The kids and I look forward to the Grand Old Opry and Jeanie Seely in particular every week. They replay it on Willie’s Road House about three times during the week. She will be missed.
