Greyhound bus crashes into three tractor-trailers, killing three people in Illinois, police say

Three people are dead and 14 others are injured after a Greyhound passenger bus collided with three tractor-trailers in Madison County, Illinois, early Wednesday morning, police said.

Four people were taken to the hospital by helicopter, officials said according to The Associated Press.

  1. I once tested to drive with Greyhound. Since I was the only one testing, he graded the test right there.

    I missed one question: “True or false — I always drive the speed limit.” I answered No. the correct answer was yes.

    “They want me to drive the speed limit when there is three inches of snow on the ground?”

    “What they meant was do you always obey the speed limit.”

    “That may have been what they meant but that isn’t what they asked.”

  2. One of the worst wrecks I’ve seen was a Winnebago that had crashed into a bridge abutment on I-90. Peeled open like a sardine can – clothes, food, dishes strewn down the side of the road. It had been towing a Caddie on a trailer and that was all mangled up too. Then there was a secondary accident from people rubbernecking the first one. What a friggin’ mess.
