What is it with Canada and giant animal sculptures?
Wawa has a giant goose sculpture that you drive by entering town.
At least they’re not supposedly using government funds, and it might bring more business to the community.
Took a parasail flight over the lake back in the mid 90s. Looked hard for the monster. Never saw one. Great nude dancers at the bars in Kelowna though.
Okanagan Lake looks pretty nice. I’ve driven by it. Orchards and wineries on the surrounding hills. Warmest summer climate in Canada, I’ve heard. But alas I’ll never see it again. Due to high prices for flying and hotel stays everywhere, we’re sticking to our home state of California after this year, but we will have our 17th and last vacation to Hawaii.
@Hunter,
Funny thing about Wawa. When I was back in Maryland a couple years ago, I would gas up at Wawa Stations which seem to have a goose as an emblem.
I don’t know if there is a connection between them and Wawa Ontario or not. Maybe it’s just a coincidence.

Ah yes, the Canadian Ballet. I went to a few bachelor parties at Niagara Falls in the 80s and 90s.
