There’s one person responsible for Halyna Hutchins death. And that’s the person that was handling the gun and ultimately squeezed the trigger. What’s the first thing you do when someone hands you a weapon?

  2. by their logic, someone who hands off their car keys to someone who then uses it for a nasty purpose, is also guilty. complete lawyer/robe-dindu bullshit. the operator/user is solely responsible for the use of the item.

If you’re Alec Baldwin you laughingly point it at some underling and pull the trigger.

  4. Seems over charged but not a lawyer, don’t play one one TV. Nor on a movie set.

Seriously, why did they have functioning firearms much less real ammunition on a movie set? I had expected the industry to have learned from actors being killed by “blanks” decades ago (Lee and Hexum) that prop guns need to be nonfunctioning, a.k.a. not firearms.

You left out, “cocked the hammer”… minor oversight though.

  6. Her job was pretty fucking serious: she was paid to protect life and limb while “prop” guns are used. Her job alone. Her incredible negligence wasn’t much different than the negligence of the doctor who killed Michael Jackon. He went to prison, remember?

  7. She was the armorer…responsible for that gun and all guns on the set. She handed the man a gun with a live round. Now he, as a responsible adult should have checked that gun when it was handed to him. Gun safety 101. He’s also guilty of involuntary manslaughter. Involuntary? Subject to debate.
