I’m just glad I delivered the last of my Valentines flowers yesterday. Last week was a long week, I got in a lot of extra hours of overtime. At least this year I didn’t have to drive a 26 ft. rental Penske (my counterpart on Thursday had an extremely long couple of days in NW Montana with really bad winter weather and a giant load of flowers, I’m glad it was him and not me because I’ve done that before as well) but I still delivered some very large loads of flowers from Spokane to NW Montana, down to N. central Idaho, Grangeville and central Wash. state to the Tri cities, Yakima, Ellensburg and back. All I can say thank God it’s over, now we can have a breather until Mother’s Day and wedding season during the Spring and Summer. I’m sure we sold and delivered probably a quarter of a million dollars worth of flowers if not more over the last week or so.

This makes me recall the time 40 years ago now when my wife and I were newlyweds and I had rented a giant heart costume and when she came home from work and walked in the house and saw me standing there with this ENORMOUS HEART ON! Well you can imagine what happened next.
