Hard-hit Italy to begin reopening after CCPvirus shutdown

Just The News: Italy will begin to resume economic activity after instituting lockdown measures amid the coronavirus pandemic.

During an interview published Sunday according to Reuters, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte discussed plans for reopening the nation. 

“We are working in these hours to allow the reopening of a good part of businesses from manufacturing to construction for May 4,” Conte told La Republic, according to Reuters.  more

  1. Manufacturing and construction can try to reopen but they won’t have a lot of business, as the whole economy relies heavily on tourism and it will take that industry a long time to recover. Even manufacturing for export is being hard hit by a reduced demand in Europe and the US and increased delivery times due to shipping having to rely on, well, ships, as the planes aren’t flying. This is a long term and international mess that makes me begin to wonder about conspiracy theories after all…
