Patriot Retort: Boy, things never live up to the hype.

You know, I have to admit, after all the hype and media attention given to the “Giant Trump Baby” blimp, it was a bit of a letdown.

From the way the media was carrying on, didn’t you get the idea that this was going to be a massive, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day float-sized monstrosity soaring high above the city of London like a barrage balloon?

I know I did.

But, the hype, as is often the case, was a wee bit exaggerated.

  7. Besides the Dollar Tree cutout bin balloon , wasn’t the media reporting a protest crowd of around 250,000 ?
    From the photos , I’ve seen more people queued up at Chick-Fil-A.

  14. Tripod lady and duct tape guy from the ICE protest were more interesting AND cost effective.

    Typical photographic metaphor for the left. No one’s really into it, it’s not at all what they expected and everyone ends up sour and disappointed.

  19. Seen almost that many waiting at “in and out burger” in Monetery Calif. The reason for that line is also funny: illegal fleeing in a stolen car rammed into a starbucks, which sign fell off and rolled into the next door McDonalds, hitting the gas line, and burning the McD’s literally to the ground.   23. On our local WGAN talk radio they play CBS news during breaks on Rush, etc. The first report today had CBS saying there were tens of thousands of protesters. Someone must have shown them a picture because since they’ve been saying thousands of protesters. Though it looks more like hundreds.
    LOL!!!
    I thought that thing was going to be like a Macy’s parade balloon too! Pathetic.
    Like we care what the red coats think anyway. Not so much.

  31. That’s it?? That’s all they got for 20 bucks? Must have gotten the brand new, under inflated, used model from a baby shower bouncy castle. Next time go for the 29.95 Godzilla baby with plastic flames hanging out of the lips.

  36. It’s like half the size of the RAT the union strikers put out in front of department stores to drum up attention. At twice the size even they don’t get attention. I typically roll down my window and yell something at the 5 low lives standing around a rat looking so depressed losing their $10/hr store job.
    “Maybe if ya didn’t waste money on Waxman you’d be able to put food on the table for another week.”
    I feel as sorry for them as consumed oatmeal breakfast.
