Have You Made Peasant Bread?

You can do it, even if you don’t have a lot of time (or have arthritis).

This is the World’s easiest yeast bread. You have to try it to believe it! It is light, fluffy, moist and has a nice springy texture. This is a great recipe for beginners because it is so easy. – The Hillbilly Kitchen.

  1. Don’t know about anybody else, but I cannot watch any YT vids. For all of the linked vids, YT will ask me to, “Sign in to confirm you are not a bot”. I am not doing that. I pretty much do not engage with YT anyway. Only went there if a story linked a vid. Now that is out of bounds.

  2. I make many breads ranging from no need to knead to artisan sourdough to croissants. Just a home cook so my finished products are rustic, homemade but very good. I’ve made this lady’s dough before but I don’’t agree with the baking temperature which results in an anemic, sad crust. Crank that oven to 450 degrees, man! BAKE that loaf.

  3. Minimum wage back when I first started working for my dad pumping gas when I was a teenager in the late 60’s was 1 dollar an hr. And now my stupid state of Washington is raising the minimum wage to $16.66 an hr. on Jan. 1, 2025. When I made minimum wage in the late 60’s I probably had more spending power than I would now making nearly $17 dollars an hr.
