Hawaii Man Who Had Heart Attack During False Missile Alert Sues State

NBC- A Hawaii man claims the false ballistic missile alert earlier this year caused him to suffer a heart attack, according to a lawsuit filed on Tuesday.
The botched alert was sent to cellphones on Jan. 13, claiming a missile was headed toward Hawaii, causing mass panic, NBC News reported. James Sean Shields and Brenda Reichel, listed as plaintiffs in the complaint, were living in Honolulu at the time. They both “believed this message to be true and were extremely frightened and thought they were going to die,” according to their complaint.  Story at NBC CHICAGO

  1. “…were extremely frightened and thought they were going to die.”

Happens to me about three times a week with soccer moms trying to kill me on the highways.

Whom do I see about that?

  2. Who’ll compensate me for the nervous breakdown I suffered in 2008?

Lemme guess, he’s 5’8”, 280 lbs, smokes and subsists on a cheeseburger and French fry diet. But the alert 🚨 🚨

  3. I was there. My phone, and everyone’s around me sounded the alarm at the same time. I saw the look of fear and dread on my wife’s and children’s faces…
Talk about a “stick your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye” moment. I could see how the anxiety of waiting for the bomb to fall out of the sky could trigger a heart attack for someone who was already susceptible.

  4. Make him prove that he wouldn’t have had the heart attack otherwise.

Why should the taxpayers get fucked (again) because of his over-reaction to the State trying to protect him?
