He won’t be going back to prison

Breitbart: An alleged car burglar is dead after refusing to comply Thursday night with an armed homeowner in Kingwood, Texas.

Click2Houston reports a motion sensor camera alerted the homeowner to the alleged burglar’s presence around 9 p.m. in the evening.

A 23-year-old alleged burglar was discovered in the homeowner’s vehicle. The armed homeowner ordered the suspect out of the car, but he would not comply.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Specialist S. Squier said, “As the male homeowner approached the vehicle, (he) ordered the name subject out at gunpoint. He became aggressive, uncooperative. The suspect made the statement, ‘I will not go back to prison.’”

The Montgomery County Police Reporter notes that the homeowner then shot at the suspect, killing him.

  1. “I hope the homeowner is not in trouble.”

Not enough info in the original article to tell for sure, but this is Texas so there’s that.

“Officer, I was in fear of my life. Right after he said he wasn’t going back to prison, he said he was going to kill me and my family, no witnesses and then he charged me with absolute rage in his eyes. I had to shoot him”. Works for me.

  2. Kingwood is a really nice place. Lowlifes go to nice places because there is nicer stuff to steal there. Texans have a lot of leeway when it’s dark outside. The law is written to give homeowners and property owners much more freedom to blast away at night at people who are creeping around your house.

  3. The dearly departed got one thing right…he isn’t going back to the slammer. Honorable Mention 2021 Darwin Awards–but only nominated because of the location of his last breath.

“…I hope the car is okay…”

My first thought was, damn shame that he had to get his car all bloodied in order to defend his property.
