LZ: The man who came up with a maneuver credited with saving an untold number of choking victims has died at the age of 96.
Henry Heimlich, a doctor who developed the Heimlich Maneuver, died of complications from a massive heart attack he suffered earlier this week, his family said in a statement. He was being cared for at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

I have a condition called esophageal dysphasia, and I’ve had the Heimlich Hug performed on me about twenty times in the last thirty-five years. Several times it was a very serious situation, and it probably saved my life. I’m certainly choked up by the death of this man.
