  1. I wonder what the motive for this award is.

Not that I even slightly discount Lowe’s actions and bravery in disarming the armed student and heading off a potential mass murder.

But I see all sorts of heroic actions by both police and civilians taking place that mostly go unnoticed other than a mention in the media for a day or two.

What’s the intended purpose of singling this one out above all the others?

  3. Y’all get hung out on trivial details. It’s just a reporter error. Irregardless of receiving an award or not, Mr. Lowe deserves recognition for his effort to de-escalate a dangerous situation. Well done, Sir!

  4. Because Mr. Lowe is a -man- and not a bloody coward like those sheriffs of Broward County Parkland high school shooting.
Give this man the honor he lived. 💖

  5. Must have missed this story last year when the incident occurred; the press was too busy covering impeachment, impeachment, impeachment. Russia, Russia, Orange Man bad.

You didn’t hear about it because no one got shot.

Keanon Lowe is the perfect example of why you should get your kids playing sports at an early age and keep them doing it.
