Even before COVID-19, companies like Charles Schwab and Toyota were fleeing California. The exodus has only sped up since the state’s bizarre overreaction to Corona. Elon Musk has promised to move Tesla out of California. Celebrities like Joe Rogan, Josh Brolin & Chris Hemsworth along with countless small businesses and residents have moved on. Well now, Hewlett Packard Enterprises is joining them. The company that is credited with starting Silicon Valley in 1939 has decided to move its headquarters from San Jose to San Francisco.
