FOX: San Jose Calif. —Many high schools give graduating students the opportunity to post a quote below their senior year yearbook photo.
Some choose a quote that describes them. Others choose something inspirational or funny.
One group of girls had a simple message for yearbook readers: MORE

Nguyenning!
That’s a win, win. Nguyen is pronounced Win in English. Don’t ask me why it just is.
Old farts like me who pronounce words phonetically would see N guy en or in French N gee en. I love the Vietnamese people, they got a raw deal from us because of that damned war. Cambodians as well.
I know, but they look like Seesters to me.Very cute.
Plot twist: Actually pictures of the same girl, taken at different ages.
?
It doesn’t help that they’re all wearing the same outfit. Clever idea, though!
Four Vietnamese girls surnamed “Nguyen” but not related?
Wanna bet?
Somewhere, in their deep dark past, a Vietnamese Bill Clinton or Bill Cosby wandered through their great, great, grandmother’s yard …
Chalk that up as a win for Nguyen!
I understand that the Donald just got a Yuge Nguyen and all the others got a Yuge No Nguyen!
Tim, that must have been a pretty prolific wanderer, because about 40% of all Vietnamese have the surname Nguyen.

😛
WTF have all the white people gone in USA high schools?
I bet old horn dog Bill would like to get a Nguyen after all these years with a loser!
Actually it’s pronounced ‘ng’win. Ng as in wing.
Looks like a win win win win to me.
On a unrelated subject, has anyone upgraded to Nguyendows 10 yet…?
?
They could be Hmong
Nguyen I was told by a friend with this name is the Smith or Jones of Viet Nam. Her parents told her many generations ago there was a leader with this name so many in the country changed their name. She hadn’t explored the history to see if this was true.
She was a teacher and kept a list of the funniest pronunciations from kids and parents. The one that stuck was Miss Nugget.
I see Vietvet posted the explanation. Thanks!
