Hogg’s Twitter ploy backfires

BPR: Parkland student David Hogg’s attempt to launch another anti-gun boycott Tuesday raised some eyebrows but, so far, not much else.

The Florida teen, who has thrust himself into the spotlight for his vocal stand against guns since the mass shooting at his high school in February, called for a boycott of Vanguard and BlackRock, two of the world’s biggest investors in gunmakers. MORE

  1. I suspect the Mr. Hogg is going to run his hamster wheel of stupid ideas out pretty quickly and slink back to one of the few schools he was accepted to and quietly enroll.

  2. “Retirement fund”…lil’ Hogg just learned a new phrase. Virginia, they didn’t give you quite enough information in high school. Here’s another clue: Twitter is a fickle friend. I don’t even tweet, and I know that.

  3. @Brad – it comes with a full-on ad campaign from CNN at no cost, along with a Chelsea-type hosting deal where he’s set for life just because he politicized guns.

  4. Well, 2 things:
#1. Libs subscribe to Marxist economic thought, so finance/pensions/supply & demand, all that makes no sense to them. Like trying to teach algebra to a newborn.
#2. Libs typically, like the Bolsheviks, convince themselves they are the majority. They are shocked when the reality of them representing only about 20% of Americans causes backlash against their stupid ideas.

  5. Wonder how much time that foul-mouthed little punk spends standing in front of a mirror, practicing his “glare” for the cameras? Hitler did that too, by the way! It turned out well for him in the end, as well!

  6. “.. Does Hogg have any prospects of moving the needle on gun control itself, given the public’s long history of opposing it? Nope. He’s just turning his newfound fame into a money-making opportunity and a bid to stay in the spotlight with a book coming out, called Never Again. The Parkland shooting has been very good for his bankbook…”

It’s another case of, “show me the money!”
That’s about all he has left, his 15 minutes of fame are up.
