  1. Way back in the 60’s my grandfather told me about the last of the Illinois tribe that lived next door. They said Chicago meant Stinky City. Not too far off from stinky onion.

  3. I live near Cincinnati, which takes its name from Cincinnatus, a Roman voted dictarorial powers to deal with a civic emergency, after which he is said to have VOULENTARILY surrended his powers and return to doing something actually useful instead of seeking to retain power.

    If true, he was the first polititian to do that.

    …Not sure why Cincinnati took his name tho, unless it meant as a sarcastic joke as NO Cincinnati politician has EVER done anything useful in THEIR lives to return to…
