How the Kardashians exploit and destroy for reality ratings

Mamas don’t let your babies grow up to be Kardashians.

Take a couple of minutes to read the article and then tell me in the comments how many of the deadly sins these messed up broads have committed (including Bruce, the newest messed up Kardashian broad) just from this latest drama.

NYPost: As former NBA star Lamar Odom clings to life in a Las Vegas hospital, his soon-to-be ex-wife Khloé Kardashian and her clan have done what they do best: make the story all about them.

Before the Kardashians even made it to the hospital, there was no dignity here. Odom was found on Tuesday unconscious and face down in a Nevada brothel, choking on his own mucus, with damage to his lungs from crack cocaine and track marks on his arm. He’d spent four days and $75,000 there, in a grim whorehouse that most closely resembles a Marriott.

By all accounts, Odom was extremely depressed and out of it, gorging on KFC and T-bone steaks, three at a time. He had to be transported to the nearest hospital by ambulance; he was too large to be airlifted.

Within hours of Odom’s hospitalization, Khloé, Kris and seven-months-pregnant Kim had hopped on a private plane. According to Radar Online, they had a camera crew in tow. (The 11th season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” filming now, premieres next month.) Caitlyn Jenner was en route.

By early Wednesday, media outlets such as TMZ, Radar, People, Us Weekly, E! (home of their reality show) and “Entertainment Tonight” suddenly had real-time updates and unobstructed views of matriarch Kris and her daughters outside the hospital, dressed in designer black dresses as if they were all widowed first ladies, straining to show distress on perfectly made-up, Botoxed faces.  more here

  1. It’s a very sad commentary on today’s ‘society’ that there is anybody who GAF what these freaks do.

And for the record, I have no sympathy for the druggie Odom.
He know what they were when he got mixed up with that mess.

  2. I remember, just after we bought our present home, in 1993, my wife was pregnant with our first child, and I went out to the mailbox where a fresh copy of “People” magazine was waiting. Realizing that I needed to make a deuce, I brought the magazine into the head with me and read it cover to cover.

I remember thinking at the me that what I had just experienced was the future, and awful future, where our culture, and particularly our women, were being lured into an alternate universe where critical thought was not practiced, let alone valued, but being able to spout who Jennifer Aniston or Julia Roberts were diddling currently was of paramount importance.

And the vision scared the shit out of me, because I recognized the incredible power that this media control already had over many of the women I knew.

At any rate, me and the Mrs. had a knock down/drag out when I said we were cancelling the subscription, but to her credit, my wife could see my point and capitulated. In subsequent years she even thanked me, realizing that she was orders of magnitude less vapid than many of the other gals she encountered.

And what’s REALLY scary is that they hadn’t even invented “reality TV” yet.

    We’re doomed.

  3. Exactly…on both comments.

It’s a sad commentary on our society that their show is starting the 11th season. WTFF?

and ‘society’ wants me to feel sorry for Odom? $75,000 on a drug fueled whore binge?

That’s more money than I make in 2 years.

  4. It’s Recursive Fame Phenomena: they are famous for being famous, similar to Paris Hilton.

Sure, a sex tape first got people interested, but RFP is the only thing keeping them interested.

  5. Oh come now. Don’t you know she was the recipient of the Stanley Ann Dunham Medal for Excellence in Miscegnation?

You’d know this if you followed me on Twitter. @GfromYonkers

  6. I actually follow the Kardashian clan, because I consider them cultural indicators. And no, I don’t necessarily like what I see.

To me, the oddest thing about them is that despite all their fame and fortune, this fucked-up unit has all the same problems I see in the poverty-stricken, uneducated families of New York City Family Court: out-of-wedlock births, confused paternity, broken families, neglected children. And these aren’t good things.

  7. Possibly the funniest line from the article:
““This is a very painful situation,” Khloé’s publicist responded, “and the idea that anyone would use it to seek publicity is really sad.” Speaking about the whorehouse owner!

    Another Gem:
“…a grim whorehouse that most closely resembles a Marriott.”
