Hungary passes bill targeting Soros university

Budapest (AFP) – Hungarian lawmakers on Tuesday approved legislation that could force the closure of a prestigious Budapest university founded by US billionaire investor George Soros, sparking fresh protests.

The English-language Central European University (CEU), set up in 1991 after the fall of communism, has long been seen as a hostile bastion of liberalism by Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s government.

MPs in the 199-seat parliament, dominated by Orban’s Fidesz party, voted 123 in favour and 38 against the legislation affecting foreign universities operating in Hungary.

The new rules ban institutions outside the European Union from awarding Hungarian diplomas without an agreement between national governments.

They will also be required to have a campus and faculties in their home country — conditions not met by the CEU.  more here

  1. Someone ought to pass a bill targeting Soros. His kids are no better. Where are all these brilliant hackers I keep hearing about. Couldn’t they arrange for him to go to bed on Sunday a rich man and wake up Monday morning a pauper?

  2. He seems surprisingly overconfident in continuity appearing so publicly with all his sons, family, top lieutenants etc in one convenient location.

A few US/Russian partnerly bunker busters
with simultaneous global confiscation of all assets (Putin and Trump are shocked, shocked to discover Soros Inc were a criminal tax evading Ponzi conspiracy owing $trillions!
Global banks were their unwitting innocent dupes, etc. Strip the carcass bare. Win win for all.

If Soros has acquired his own nukes and secreted them in various strategic locations as insurance, it gets more intricate, but Soros Inc still goes down.

All this assumes Putin is not already comfortably on the Soros payroll. Even so, he should be open to a 50/50 split)
