The largest rodents we were allowed were hamsters. Wanted all manner of guinea pigs and rabbits, etc., but “Noooooo.” 😅
I did let my sons raise rats, however, and that was a lot of fun. They’re really no trouble and are very bright. Every night my youngest would bring his out to watch TV on the couch for a bit. Games with treats were included. Good times, those were.
