Iceland volcanic eruption looms as tremors rip open roads

RT: Icelandic authorities have warned that a major volcanic eruption could occur with just 30 minutes’ warning as earthquakes continue to rattle an area near a coastal town that was evacuated earlier this month.

An eruption is still considered “imminent,” but the Icelandic Meteorological Office (IMO) said on Wednesday that it now appears less likely the molten lava will burst from a magma tunnel directly under Grindavik, the town from which about 4,000 residents were forced to flee their homes nearly two weeks ago. The latest seismic data suggests that the eruption will most likely occur between Sylingarfell, a few miles north of Grindavik, and Hagafell, further to the northeast.

“The probability of a sudden eruption within the town limits of Grindavik has been decreasing every day and is today considered low,” the IMO said. “It can be assumed that the magma in the tunnel under Grindavik is partially solidified, which also reduces the likelihood that the magma will suddenly break its way to the surface within the town limits.” more here

  1. We should make sacrifices to the volcano to appease it. Antifas or migrants, rather than virgins. The famous Gruppenführer Fauci has already managed to prove in its secret laboratories, that migrants if they do not float, are soluble in molten lava.

  2. An eruption was imminent 15 days ago. Most everything that’s been reported is like watching wet paint dry. 40% of the people in Grindavek aren’t insured, kinda like what happened on Maui. Dependent on tourism, fishing, and smelting aluminum. Only source of power, heat and hot water is from the underground lava tubes for 30,000 people. If that goes – which the land is rising under the power plant, while the town is sinking, it could be over for a lot of people in Iceland. Building cities underneath flowing lava isn’t a great idea.

  3. They have become wasteful in their wanton use of free, geothermal energy, which in turn is leading to volcanic eruptions and ultimately climate change. Rat bastards! Stop Geothermal Now! We must show we are united in our goals and freeze our shrunken dingle berries to the road!

  4. I don’t know where I’m a-gonna go when the volcano blows

But I don’t want to land in the New York City
I don’t want to land in Mexico
I don’t want want to land on no Three Mile Island
I don’t want to see my skin aglow
I don’t want to land in Commanchee sky park
    Or in Nashville, Tennessee
I don’t want to land in no San Juan airport
    Or in Yukon Territory
I don’t want to land in no San Diego
I don’t want to land in no Buzzard’s Bay
I don’t want to land on no Ayatolah
I got nothing more to say

  5. Not sure that it is a surprise when an island that only exists due to volcanic action would be subject to change by the vagaries of volcanic action.

Following the comments above, if they can’t predict an eruption two weeks out or within a few miles, why again are these sciences® believed about “global warming” 100 years out?

    Thats right, they’re not.
