The majority in Illinois are in captivity by the Cook county thugs. They control the state. Most other counties in the state run more conservative.

The district (22nd) is mostly Hispanic and from what I could read the state GOP didn’t even run a candidate in 2016. I think it’s in states like this where conservatives can make a difference or at least shake up the Democrats. I suspect that in that community you could find a conservative Hispanic who is successful and admired that given some resources and a longer, informal campaign could unseat this guy. Hell, portray him as a rich white guy who throws crumbs to the latino community while spreading the wealth around higher up Democrats and you may end up getting progessive voters as well. Just running a candidate would scare the Dems.

As a kid, I lived in Greece and visited the museum of Athens plenty of times. If you painted this dude’s face a flat grayish-black, he’d look just like the Egyptian mummies on display there. Right down to the shrunken skin, the boney fingers and color of hair. Only difference is the clothing and hairstyle.
All prior comments combined do not even come close to uncovering how bad things are. The state and all it’s pension funds are broke and they’re planning on the rest of us to bail them out.
