American Thinker:
Cook County, Illinois was supposed to join the parade of localities (that started in Berkeley, of course) taxing sugary soft drinks today, but thanks to a temporary restraining order issued by Circuit Judge Daniel Kubasiak, shoppers in Chicago and surrounding suburbs can guzzle as much Pepsi and Coke as they wish, without paying a penny per ounce special tax.
The basis of the lawsuit that led to the TRO is quite intriguing. Becky Yurak reports in the Chicago Tribune:
When democRAT Politicians get thirty they take the path of least resistance and slap a fat tax on something! They’re in a death spiral where people who can get out, are, and stuff like this only reinforces that kind of migration. However Rats don’t have a particularly large brain and have no clue of how to be fiscally responsible, but they have figured out how to use the hard-working, over-taxed payer’s tax dollars to get re-elected with endless freebees to the worthless, uneducated, uninformed, unemployed, barely aware, self-absorbed, celebrity-obsessed, dope-smoking, free-shit-grabbing, no morals, media-influenced-enabled, Food-Stamp wielding, Escalade driving, Kool-Aid drinking, government-dependent, entitlement rich, busted-ass, short attention span, Obamaphone-carrying parasites who won’t buy a belt and can’t process a sound bite over 10 seconds in length that doesn’t rhyme! They getting very close to the end of the road with that thinking and if Donald Trump ever shuts off the gold-plated federal spigot, they’re fucked!
Nemajevoya rat fink, nemajevoya. 🤣🤙
If you owned a business, say a restaurant chain, but pretty much anything, would you expand into the shithole that is Illinois?
Not if you are sane you wouldn’t.
Illinois would be at the bottom of the list.
I can’t even remember the last time I was ripped of in that
shithole state, shucks.
I can…the last time I went grocery shopping! Plus, prices on almost everything have jumped!!!
