  1. “In dulci jubilo” is a traditional Christmas carol. In its original setting, the carol is a macaronic text of German and Latin dating from the Middle Ages. Subsequent translations into English”

    Beautifully done.

  3. SNS. That sounds so angry. Yeah, it fits the times.

The posted video above reminds me of my first radio job. My first shift included the Sunday morning religious music program. To me, religious music should sound like the King’s College Choir. The listeners did not agree. A listener called up and said “I like the music — I think.” I guess they wanted country music type of stuff.

  4. If you don’t get goosebumps listening to that, well… all I can say is our minds are not similar.

The best Christmas music is timeless – like God himself – and among the best compositions on Earth.

…you want angry, there’s THIS one, where the singer is SO angry he trades upon an old Puritan belief that it is OK to COMMAND the devil (hence the verb “Ieubeo”) to do your bidding vs. praying to him or begging him, all so he can use the rage of the devil himself (under one of his 9000 aliases) for his own purposes…

…this was for an ancient and not particularly great video game, but the theme performance is pretty amazing for a CD-Rom game on Windows 95…
