Indian Tribal Cops in Nevada Have No Patience for Climate Protesters

The climate protesters stupidly picked this fight in the jurisdiction of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Police Department of Nevada. That means tribal cops who answer to a tribal council and don’t care about the ‘George Floyd’ routines of protesters. Go ahead accuse them of racism, they don’t care.

  1. It’s there white supremacy.

I guess the protesters will go back to those areas where officials suck up to them.

Can you imagine the government going after a tribal council? Ain’ t gonna happen.

  2. I would like to have seen a long version of the video – like 10 or so minutes of each protester whining and crying as they are handcuffed and arrested.
    Bravo to this police department!

  3. “She was just standing there!”

Yeah, in the middle of the f**king road. If they take this to court I imagine it will be a tribal court. I am sure the tribal court will be very sympathetic to a bunch of spoiled white kids.

  4. It was ~ 1999 0r 2000 IIRC. Filthy hippies from Seattle and Portland showed up in Omak to protest the Suicide Race. They were lucky to make it back to Seattle and Portland with their filthy scalps still attached to their empty skulls. Go fuck around and find out on The Rez.

  5. It looks like these protesters are kind of shocked to learn what their one minute and six seconds of fame entails.

“Go ahead accuse them of racism, they don’t care.”

The majority of the protesters appear to be white supremists.

Brett Alexander Mining \ Geology v/ Business

    This is an excellent breakdown.
Batteries, they do not make electricity – they store
electricity produced elsewhere, primarily by coal, uranium,
natural gas-powered plants, or diesel-fueled generators.
So, to say an EV is a zero-emission vehicle is not at all valid.
Also, since forty percent of the electricity generated in the
U.S. is from coal-fired plants, it follows that forty percent of
the EVs on the road are coal-powered, do you see?”
But that is not half of it. For those of you excited about
electric cars and a green revolution, I want you to take a
closer look at batteries and also windmills and solar
    panels.

A typical EV battery weighs one thousand pounds, about
the size of a travel trunk. It contains twenty-five pounds of
lithium, sixty pounds of nickel, 44 pounds of manganese, 30
pounds cobalt, 200 pounds of copper, and 400 pounds of
aluminum, steel, and plastic. Inside are over 6.000
    individual lithium-ion cells.

To manufacture each EV auto battery, you must process
25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium, 30,000 pounds of
ore for the cobalt, 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, and
25,000 pounds of ore for copper. All told, you dig up
500,000 pounds of the earth’s crust for one battery.”

The main problem with solar arrays is the chemicals
needed to process silicate into the silicon used in the
panels. To make pure enough silicon requires processing it
with hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrogen
fluoride, trichloroethane, and acetone. In addition, they also
    need gallium, arsenide, copper-indium-gallium- diselenide,
and cadmium-telluride, which also are highly toxic. Silicon
dust is a hazard to the workers, and the panels cannot be
    recycled.

Windmills are the ultimate in embedded costs and
environmental destruction. Each weighs 1688 tons (the
equivalent of 23 houses) and contains 1300 tons of
concrete, 295 tons of steel, 48 tons of iron, 24 tons of
fiberglass, and the hard to extract rare earths neodymium,
praseodymium, and dysprosium. Each blade weighs 81,000
pounds and will last 15 to 20 years, at which time it must be
replaced. We cannot recycle used blades.

There may be a place for these technologies, but you must
took beyond the myth of zero emissions.
“Going Green” may sound like the Utopian ideal but when you look at the hidden and embedded costs realistically
with an open mind, you can see that Going Green is more
destructive to the Earth’s environment than meets the eye,
    for sure.

I’m not opposed to mining .electric vehicles, wind or solar.
But showing the reality of the situation.

  7. I would have taken their phones and smashed them to bits.
“Since you guys want to save the planet, let’s show you a little cause & effect…”

Oh and this long pipe you chained yourself to, the trailer and all your little blocking accoutrements, what the fuck do you think produced these materials?

    4
  8. Pepper spray. I would love nothing more than unloading an entire can on an idiot who chains themselves to an object in the middle of the road. Just unload the entire can in their face.

It’s a fallen world and it is a constant fight to put off the natural Scott-Irish in me but people like that… if you had pepper spray how could not empty a can in their face?

    6
  9. I’m guessing part of the reason the tribal police busted through the ‘protest’ is because a couple days prior, one of their own was killed by an asshole who ran him over. Of course, the asshole got what was coming to him but the wounds for the tribal police were still fresh. I was extremely happy to see the ‘protesters’ get theirs!

  10. I drive this road often, SR447, is a patchwork of Tribal & BLM lands 60-100 miles from anywhere. I bet these dipshits thought they were on BLM Land with all the BLM rangers north of Gerlach up at Burning Man. They found out Paiute Rangers have a lot of available manpower to handle these twits.

    8
  11. On the Paiute Rez you need to get a permit to do any recreation there; easy to do at any of the stores on the Rez. The longer video a Tribal Ranger explained they were not just blocking the road, they were Trespassing on Tribal Land. The Supv informed them they had 30 sec to clear the road or arrested. They F’d around and found out.

I’m fairly knowledgeable about mining and I think all the numbers in that paragraph should be tons, not pounds. Not criticizing you, probably an editing error in the report.

    1
  13. The tribal police should have just hooked up that trailer, pulled it off the road and let their protest continue. Then after the Burning Man was over, arrest them for trespassing.

  14. Not my work, Brett Alexander is the author, the same numbers are repeated through several articles.

“Sixty-eight percent of the world’s cobalt, a significant part of a battery, comes from the Congo. Their mines have no pollution controls, and they employ children who die from handling this toxic material. Should we factor in these diseased kids as part of the cost of driving an electric car?”

    6
  15. Cmn¢¢guy – The weight of EVs has been my argument for years. I simply does not make sense to push around a half ton or a TON of battery in the case of the Ford Lightning (not lightening)/ You basically turn a car into a luxury tow-motor!

10 Gallons of gasoline fuel will transport two people 350 miles these days compared to 1,000Lbs of electric fuel at best! That’s 60Lbs compared to 1,000Lbs! What do you want to push around?
Needless to say heavier cars need heavier tires, brakes, suspension and structure not to mention being harder on the roads, but hey the Greenies don’t consider any of this!
Lastly, Capitalism works by making a product that the market demands. There is no real market for the EV so they’ve had to go out and make the market for the product – exactly ass-backwards!!
Buuuuuuuuuuut this is the administration that fucks up everything it touches!

  16. A. tribes don’t normally hire tribal people to be cops.
    B. most tribes are corrupt and make tribal policeman’s jobs frustrating.
    C. when they give these guys a free hand to be cops… they become cops.

    D. in summation, don’t fuck around on tribal land.

Yeah, tell me you’re as crazy as the Manson Family without telling me you’re as crazy as the Manson Family.
