FOX: Iraq’s Cabinet formally declared Christmas to be a national holiday as the country’s Christians celebrated the birth of Jesus amid tight security more than a year after Baghdad declared victory over ISIS who sought to eradicate all who did not follow the group’s strict interpretation of Sunni Islam.
“We extend our warmest wishes to Christians in Iraq and around the world for a very happy and peaceful Christmas,” the government said in a Tuesday morning tweet. more
A little more light enters the world.
God bless our troops who bled for it.
..you have to wonder in the ugly political climate of the Middle East that Obama built if this is a “Let a Hundred Flowers Bloom” ploy, Muslim edition, to try to smoke out the few surviving Christians in ancient Mesopotamia….
W-T-F!!??
Now I KNOW the end of the world is at hand.
Yes, I’m grateful for small blessings, wherever they come from, but this one is totally out of left field.
Glad to hear our brothers and sisters in a hazardous (to say the least) area can openly enjoy and celebrate a great occasion.
I’m very grateful for the government of Iraq for allowing the idea to even come up for a vote, let alone pass it.
Just think – the Iraqi government declares a christian holiday – I wonder how many liberals heads are spinning over that!
$5 Trillion later, they finally say “Merry Christmas.”

…Which is more than Libs are willing to let us do here in the US!
This is good news. Nice to hear this. We won and helped Iraq become a good citizen among nations.
The liberals can go sulk in the corner.
