“It’s Like Daddy Arrived, and He’s Taking His Belt Off” 😂

GP: Academy Award-winning actor Mel Gibson responded to Trump’s visit to Los Angeles, California, on Friday, comparing it to a good ‘ol fashion ass whooping that you won’t find in a liberal household.

“It’s like Daddy arrived, and he’s taking his belt off, you know? So I think he’ll get some results here quickly,” Gibson told Hannity while discussing Trump’s efforts to save the state from incompetent Democrat leadership. more here

  1. Speaking of Hollywood, they just don’t seem to get it.

I watched a short Ben Shapiro clip the other day about the Academy Awards, yes, that revolting exhibition of virtue-signalling phonies where actors slurp each other and have a smoke afterward. A movie about a transgender is up for a record 13 awards. Shapiro saw it and said it was just awful.

Conservative pundits keep writing pieces about the cataclysmic sea-change in the culture after the Trump victory, how wokeness will die from lack of oxygen, and how California (even LA) will shift red to a more common sense (conservative) approach to affairs. Maybe Hollywood is like that last Japanese soldier on the Island 50 years later, but I don’t see it. Too many people here are wedded to a broken ideology and if they surrender, it will be an embarrassing admonition that they were wrong all along.

They can always claim that the demoncrat party suddenly took a dark turn and left them behind…. A baldface lie but that’s what they are best at….. Oops! Not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition….

  3. They romantically “coexist” with their fantasy of foreign cultures they do not know, or understand.

A quick trip to barbarian lands would cure that petulant attitude pronto.

Perhaps there should be mandatory national service that must in part be served outside the USA.

I see that there is a Christian crucifix on the bumper sticker, even though those that display it don’t practice many, if any, of Christ’s teachings.
Reminds me of the scripture, “For they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me”.

  5. The best thing that cured me of thinking that America sucks was 3 years in the Navy in the early 70’s and going overseas to SE Asia, the Indian Ocean, the Persian Gulf etc. and seeing and experiencing how a large part of the world deals with real poverty and oppression. It gave me a greater appreciation for being an American which I haven’t lost and totally appreciate being fortunate and lucky enough to have born in this country.

  6. So do I and I’ve worked with a few of them, the ones I’ve known have made good Americans, including one former S. Vietnamese Naval officer who would’ve been killed if he hadn’t been thrown onto a US helicopter at the last possible moment just as Saigon fell to the communists. A Vietnamese Catholic priest lives across the street from my house and has a small parish of Vietnamese who also go to St. Anthony’s Catholic church just across the street as well.
