The Hill-
Former Virginia Del. Jay Jones (D) was projected to oust incumbent Attorney General Jason Miyares (R) in the race for the state’s top law enforcement spot on Tuesday, staving off a texting controversy that dogged his candidacy in the campaign’s final month.
While the race was always considered one of the more competitive statewide contests in Virginia this cycle, it was roiled in its final stretch by resurfaced violent texts sent by Jones in 2022 about then-state House Speaker Todd Gilbert (R).
“Three people, two bullets,” Jones wrote in a text to Del. Carrie Coyner (R) about Gilbert.
“Gilbert, hitler, and pol pot,” Jones wrote. “Gilbert gets two bullets to the head.”
“Spoiler: put Gilbert in the crew with the two worst people you know and he receives both bullets every time,” Jones told Coyner.
Coyner, in response, told Jones, who at the time did not hold an elected office, to stop. more
I’ve got a bad feeling about this.

@Uncle Al, you’re not the only one. Trump has been calling for the nuclear option and his pleas are being ignored. The Dems say they have a big tent but the Dems and Repub’s in congress are sharing a big bed.
One year until the mid-terms.
Ending the filibuster would be a fatal mistake for the republicans. The minute the democrats get the majority they will add two states, guaranteeing 4 more senators and pack the Supreme Court with the kind of judges we’ve seen since Trump’s first term. The GOP will cease to be a viable party and socialism will rule in perpetuity.

Yay! The communists in Virginia elected a homicidal psychopath, the colored version. What a win for them showing those awful normies how to be diverse and inclusive. The main problem with commies is we are allowing them to remain alive. Otherwise they’d be fine.
Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.

Electing a person to any power or authority who fantasizes murdering the children of his opposition is a special kind of stupid.
What is Virginia’s state motto again?
He’s a nasty piece of work but, to me, I find it more disturbing that a majority of voters (my neighbors!) think his murderous texts are okay. Makes me feel like I did after Charlie Kirk’s assassination… I understand there are lone wolves / individual nut jobs out there but what was really creepy was the number of so-called ‘normal’ people (including a family member and some online ‘friends’) who excused and even cheered his murder.
Anyway, I’ve been looking at various articles and websites today.
I knew the Working Families Party was a big force behind Mamdami’s campaign but hadn’t realized how national the organization is.
Did you know they endorsed our Lieutenant Governor-Elect in Virginia? She being the first Muslim to serve in the state senate (and also an immigrant). She ran a quiet race, refusing to debate her Republican opponent and overshadowed by the Governor and AG news, and slipped into office while we weren’t looking…
She doesn’t include the WFP imprimatur on the endorsements page of her website but here’s the link to the WFP page of national endorsements:
https://workingfamilies.org/candidates/
I suggest y’all keep an eye on that WFP endorsement page to watch for commies in your local races.
