Jeff Flake’s Primary Challenger To Hire Top Trump Operatives

Daily Caller: Dr. Kelli Ward, who unsuccessfully challenged Sen. John McCain in the 2016 primaries, is now taking on Sen. Jeff Flake in the 2018 Arizona Senate primary.

“I, as well as others, are frustrated with Senator Flake’s weak style,” Ward told The Daily Caller News Foundation in an interview Thursday. “He hasn’t accomplished a thing in D.C., and his values do not align with the people of Arizona.”

Ward is bringing on two political operatives with ties to the president, Eric Beach and Brent Lowder. The two men will serve as general consultants for the campaign, TheDCNF has learned.

Beach is the founder and co-chair of Great America PAC, and Lowder is it’s executive director. The Great America PAC raised and spent close to $30 million in support of Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

News of the hires comes one day after Robert Mercer, one of Trump’s top political donors in 2016, committed $300,000 to a super PAC supporting Ward.  MORE

  1. @anon

Just like HRC did to DJT? We shall see what we shall see. I don’t know enough about conditions on the ground to be prognosticating in any detail but I will tell you that I have pretty well tossed out any conventional wisdom I used to employ. I don’t know that the party is as monolithic as what JD was up against. A bunch of upstart Trumpsters in the ranks now and some big outside money coming in and IIRC, GOP contributions are down and getting “downer”. I am cautiously optimistic.

  2. Flakes numbers are past the toilet in in the septic tank. He’s got a big gun who just put up 300,000 for starters and Flake won’t get much help anywhere. He pissed off Trump too, not a bright move.

  3. Flake had his nose up OConnell’s ass for so long the fresh air may prove toxic for him. Anyone who can be eliminated from Mitch’s gaggle of sycophant’s is a big plus for the good guys.

  4. O’grinder, hopefully a drubbing will serve as a warning to the others who aren’t yet up to bat. Get in line or be banished to the proletariat. Worst fate for a power pol.

  5. 2018 will be a continuation of the Trump Train. Independents and Undecideds are fed up with an obstructionist do-nothing Congress.
’18 will be POTUS Trump and The People against the Entrenched Uniparty Machine.
    I too am cautiously optimistic.

Trump needs to get in with National Voter ID.
Sessions needs to be prosecuting state election officials for fraudulent voter rolls as as ballot rigging in Dem stronghold cities.

  6. President got a lot of free press. Sometimes even when they didn’t want to give it to him. LOL
She obviously can’t swing that on her own, but it would help her to keep
bringing up Mccain and McConnell’s record and comments and show how Flake was right along with them and often folded like a cheap suit to 0bama. Highlight the company that Flake keeps.

  7. @RufusTFirefly—- we have been saying for years how GOPe said we need congress to do anything. Ok they got it. Then they needed Senate. Ok they got it. But, but we need WH. Ok they got it.
So all of it was a lie.
Now? We work backwards. We the people have OUR guy in the WH. Now we get OUR poeple in the Senate. Then we continue every two years to get OUR people in Congress.
Get Trump re elected in 2020.

National ID? No. Fingerprint. If I can instantly log into my iPhone with my thumb, I should be able to vote with it. Too many people letting too many people skate in Liberal zones where there are very few conservatives. I witnessed cheating in 08 and 12. Reported the 12 one it was so blatant.
