Jeff Sessions Says It’s Time to Move Past Mueller Probe

GWP: After Recusing Like a Coward and Allowing Mueller to Hunt Down Trump For Two Years, Sessions Says It’s Time to Move Past Mueller Probe.

Thankfully Trump fired Jeff Sessions and brought on Bill Barr to be his new Attorney General. Barr took control of Mueller’s witch hunt and immediately shut it down.

It’s time to “get on with the business of America,” Sessions said while speaking at an event Wednesday night at Amherst College in Massachusetts.

It gets worse…

Jeff Sessions said that Mueller’s two-year inquisition and attempted coup was “carried out vigorously and with integrity.”

SERIOUSLY??

Jeff Sessions said that Congress has oversight power, but he said it’s time to move on and accept that Mueller chose not to indict the President.  more here

  1. With all those “Oops! We covered the whole fudge stripe cookie in fudge” packages I see on the cookie aisle, I think everyone’s former favorite Keebler elf needs to pay more attention to his day job.

  2. Remember he’s a deep state republican who schmoozed his way into the administration to Hide what the democRAT party was doing and to give them cover as long as he could

  3. Sarah Jane Moore and Squeaky From should be pardoned. In fact they should not have been charged in the first place. After all, they did not succeed in shooting President Ford so we should just move on.

  4. Somebody has the goods on that guy. Compromising pictures that he’ll do or say anything to prevent from getting out. Nothing else makes sense in explaining why this guy turned on a dime.

  5. Jeff, please, lay down the shovel.

Then step backwards away from it, then do an about face, putting it out of view so you’ll no longer see it and be again tempted to dig even deeper.

It’s ok Jeff. We loved ya a senator, but clearly going farther exceeded your competence level.

Please. Just return to some position where you’re good at it.
(and continue to stay the gosh-darned-heck away from the shovel)

  6. why sessions recused…trump continues to prepare the battlefield

The former “recused” attorney general is now gone. Jeff Sessions was always going to have to recuse himself from the 2016 election-related investigations and he was always going to have to step down from the attorney general post before the prosecution phase could begin, and here’s why.

There was simply no way Sessions could stay in charge of the DOJ investigations of people who had targeted him as a Russian agent and tried to “prove” he colluded with Russians. His recusal was absolutely necessary and people who dispute this are simply wrong.

Likewise, before it came time for the prosecutions of those plotters who targeted Sessions, he was going to have to step down as attorney general, because he was going to be called as a witness in the prosecutions. A sitting attorney general can’t be a witness in a case his own Justice Department is prosecuting. (Explaining the obvious is just another free service that I provide.)

William Barr is coming in now to take over the next phase, while Sessions is free to appear as a witness and testify about what McCabe and the other plotters told him at the time they were trying to entrap him

No. Sessions did not have to recuse himself AND resign. He DID have to resign, and should have done so immediately. That would have allowed DJT to nominate a new and uncompromised AG, and if it had happened that way we likely would not have ended up with a special counsel.

  8. To Billy Fuster,
When I read of the recusal I immediately thought of threats…immediately I googled Sessions family. He had 10 grandkids. I said that’s too many to protect from the Deep State. From the Clintons/Obamas and that looong hit list. That’s what I still think. Trump has had security for ages as a celebrity millionaire. Sessions (wimpy maybe) just folded and kept his mouth shut to everyone. To hell with America – I will sit tight and protect my childrens’ children. His choice. Possibly America’s loss. Only time will tell. He should have refused the position. I think he’s a wimp. Wrong guy, wrong place, wrong time.

  9. Know them by what they DO, not what they say.
Lil’ Elmer Fudd finally fully revealed.

Sessions is no real American, and unworthy to hold public office, let alone be considered an officer of the Law.
